He surely has enough money from Stardew to live comfortably for the rest of his life. Why would he need to publish anything?

rigatti,
@rigatti@lemmy.world avatar

Yeah they just stopped updating it and let all their RTS talent go to other companies to make their own games.

rigatti,
@rigatti@lemmy.world avatar

There’s no virtual mouse, are you thinking of the wrong game?

rigatti,
@rigatti@lemmy.world avatar

I’ve always just dragged the cards rather than using successive taps. It’s pretty intuitive in my opinion. I would have never thought to call that a virtual mouse…

Deselecting a card without casting it can be a little tricky, but you can usually tap another card or something without causing an issue.

rigatti,
@rigatti@lemmy.world avatar

In that case you tap the card and it pops up to show the text. Still pretty intuitive. I guess if you’ve never played a deck building game or RPG it could be confusing?

rigatti,
@rigatti@lemmy.world avatar

The one aspect is slightly unintuitive, but mostly you tap and drag like you would on any mobile interface. There is no"virtual mouse" or anything crazy. It’s wild to me that people would be frustrated out of playing because of the interface.

rigatti,
@rigatti@lemmy.world avatar

Wow, a bunch of these changes make sense, but I’m not sure how I feel about making so many changes to make things easier.

rigatti,
@rigatti@lemmy.world avatar

Agreed, I gave up on beating gold stake when I would lose most of the runs on the first couple antes. I think it’s good to have a brutally difficult mode, I hope they didn’t go overboard on easing it up, but it was good to ease up a bit.

rigatti,
@rigatti@lemmy.world avatar

Could be? Either way it’s a win for the players.

rigatti,
@rigatti@lemmy.world avatar

Balatro but not Slay the Spire?

rigatti,
@rigatti@lemmy.world avatar

I liked Wildfrost, but it didn’t have that much replay value after 30 or so hours, whereas I have 500+ in StS. They have updated it since I last played though, so maybe there’s a bit more to do now?

rigatti,
@rigatti@lemmy.world avatar

It’s definitely a tough game. The only thing easy about it is taking your turn, missing something important, then dying.

rigatti,
@rigatti@lemmy.world avatar

Playing on the gold stake, I think I don’t make it past the first ante like 80% of the time. I might be too greedy or just bad at the game, but in StS I can make a decent run on ascension 20 at a much higher rate.

rigatti,
@rigatti@lemmy.world avatar

Slay the Spire is the gold standard for me, at least. I haven’t played Monster Train – it doesn’t look that appealing to me, but I’ve heard good things.

rigatti,
@rigatti@lemmy.world avatar

Finding two of those hands with a smaller hand and fewer discards is much harder. I could be miscalculating odds for sure though.

rigatti,
@rigatti@lemmy.world avatar

Seems fun maybe if they also add some other stuff to make the combat more interesting. It starts off looking promising then just doesn’t really go anywhere.

rigatti,
@rigatti@lemmy.world avatar

Another Shandalar would be so sick. I don’t have faith that they’ll go for it though. It will be more half-baked, undersupported garbage.

rigatti,
@rigatti@lemmy.world avatar

I had been waiting a looooong time to play Stormgate. And it’s pretty fun! Clearly has a long way to go before it’s finished, but it’s very promising.

rigatti,
@rigatti@lemmy.world avatar

I really enjoyed the story. The battle system was fun at first but then didn’t really offer much depth or player expression as the game progressed. Maybe that’s why you got tired of it?

rigatti,
@rigatti@lemmy.world avatar

Hasbro continuing to make shit decisions on behalf of WotC, the only sector of the company keeping it afloat.

rigatti,
@rigatti@lemmy.world avatar

Do you play indie games? They seem to be exactly what you’re describing.

rigatti,
@rigatti@lemmy.world avatar

I had a similar experience, yeah. At a certain point almost nothing mattered, and the final boss was a cakewalk. I guess that’s cult life.

rigatti,
@rigatti@lemmy.world avatar

In the harder difficulties, you have to micromanage everything all the time, and it takes forever.

rigatti,
@rigatti@lemmy.world avatar

Really some of the best pixel art I’ve seen.

rigatti,
@rigatti@lemmy.world avatar

Yeah definitely no one asked for it, but in concept, it sounds really cool. L4D but with vampires. I was excited when this game was announced, but the more I saw of it, the more my excitement faded.

rigatti,
@rigatti@lemmy.world avatar

I always wondered about how he made the music. I don’t think most game designers would be able to just produce music for their own game, so it makes sense that he was a musician prior to getting into making games.

rigatti,
@rigatti@lemmy.world avatar

Triple moves seem like a good addition. I kind of wish there was more new content like new areas and things like that.

When was the last time Blizzard had legendary teams?

Unity ...It Just Keeps Get Worse (youtu.be) angielski

To say it’s been a bad week for Unity is the understatement of 2023. First they announced a terrible new Pricing scheme, then their customers revolted, as the week goes on though, it gets worse and worse for Unity, from threats from an employee shutting down their offices, to more studios threatening to leave, to scummy secret...

rigatti,
@rigatti@lemmy.world avatar

Wouldn’t the new Unity pricing model be somewhat comparable to the current Unreal pricing model?

rigatti,
@rigatti@lemmy.world avatar

To think it was only announced eight years ago…

New trailer for my personal project. I wish I could quit my job instead of spending nights and weekend days working on it. (www.youtube.com) angielski

Think of the game as Vampire Survivors, but instead of you having to move and all the skills are passively activated, now you just stay in one place, but you must actively use the skills. That makes sense because the game has tower defense theme, as the name suggested. There is another difference though, it’s how players...

rigatti,
@rigatti@lemmy.world avatar

That person was insanely harsh for no reason. I’m sure lots of people thought similar things about VS before it took off. Don’t sweat it, your game looks cool.

rigatti,
@rigatti@lemmy.world avatar

I’ve never played it. Do people like this or not like this?
