The longest I stuck with the franchise was through Metroid Prime Hunters for the DS, and it wasn’t the graphics or the game itself that captivated me (although both are awesome, ngl) but the online capabilities and gameplay, I have not even finished the game, only played several minutes of the campaign (which maybe I am not missing out of much here, as I have read it is one of the weakest), and yet I have had more than 500 hrs of playtime thanks to the multiplayer, which I still used even after the closure of the servers thanks to Wiimmfi.
For me the gameplay with the stylus as the main aim control is the best the DS can offer to have a proper and fast paced aim, if you could search for some of the crazy stuff that the pro players managed with this game on YT and how hardcore it can get for this hardware in those days, you’d be surprised, here is a video that comes at the top of my mind, and it is a recent one too, also the sniper battles (imperialist) were pretty awesome.
With that said, I know the franchise and what it means for everyone, I appreciate it that much that I refuse to even play more metroidvanias without finishing Super Metroid (and Castlevania Symphony of The Night while we are at it).
Ok, I gotta ask, I know almost nothing about the lore of Fallout, is this show for me? Does it have enough content for newcomers that makes it worth it?
I did enjoy the Twisted Metal TV show, if that brings any context about what stuff I like, although at least I did play some of their old games and enjoyed them, but I remember next to nothing about the game’s “plot”, if there was any to begin with.
EDIT: Thank you so much for your replies guys, it seems definitely like a fun show and I’m craving for one lol (I just finished Titans S03… and… it was not good), I’m gonna give it a try!

I have almost no interest in any Ubisoft games at this point… I just have Child of Light and The New Prince of Persia games on my radar… Maybe I should just 🦜
Yeah the fact that this already exists and it is pretty much perfect just makes me think that it is a lame move from Nintendo, even if it was meant to be a joke lol.
As a Mexican I always loved visiting GameStop when I was in the USA, there was simply not a good replacement for GameStop here at those times, now there are some, but they barely look like a videogame store (full with merchandising and stuff), and as always Amazon MX has cheaper prices than local stores, hell even it has cheaper prices than Target or GameStop (compared when I was there last time some months ago).

Don’t worry too much, the scene probably will pick this up and we will have custom servers (I keep playing Jump Ultimate Stars DS online, and its servers closed in 2014).
But yeah, Nintendo makes a really low effort to preserve almost anything.
As a hardcore player of Metroid Prime Hunters (online) in the Nintendo DS I always was confused about what the issue with the controllers for Kid Icarus, or other shooter like games was lol.
I think it is a pretty great handheld, but I am more of a DS guy, I keep playing several of its games thanks to Wimmfi, even when the 3DS has retro compatibility I think using a proper DS is way better.
With that said, the 3DS has its own fair share of good games, and it is your console if you like RPGs, I just would want it to have more visual novels.
I remembered I gave it a quick try on PS3 but as my brain was very rotten with COD games at the time it never grabbed too much of my attention… But I still have it in my backlog.
But seriously, I wasn’t aware that there was a TWEWY anime… I have a friend that doesn’t play games and when I want to share her videogame stuff we do it with these adaptations…
So far we have watched Ace Attorney (it was okay) and have Nier Automata on the list…
Damn, well, I think I’m gonna give it a chance to TWEWY anime regardless, I mean, I’m very forgiving because I automatically tag all these adaptations as “game is 1000 better” lol.
Yeah, it definitely was a downgrade, although we enjoyed some bits, perhaps I did more because I had the games fresh, and that helped me to give her more context about some scenes that deserved better (like the very amazing Gumshoe moment of case 3).
I hope they truly stick with the Xbox brand, it will be bad for all of us to only have Sony with the cake… (I mean we have Nintendo, but they have always been on their own).
I intend to replay Apollo Justice for the same reasons as you lol, I wish I didn’t forget the plot of the Ace Attorney games so I could keep with the main story.
Nier Automata on the Switch, it is the only version I have played so far I think it is a great port… The anime motivated me to get around this title BTW (I think it is usually the other way around) so far I like it, even if it is the same genre that seems to reign the gaming market nowadays, open world action RPG…
Okay let me start with two heavy hitters right from the get go and don’t forget these are only personal oppinions and I absolute understand if you like those games. Good for you!...
I agree, but I also think kids nowadays find it interesting too, but hell, they find Fortnite interesting too, so maybe Palworld is gonna be the next big thing for them now (if it survives the hype and the pass of time).
A bit more about nostalgia, I remember I played Pokémon Red and obviously watched the anime too, but then I saw a magazine advertising Pokémon yellow and showing Jesse, James and Meow, I was like WTF I need to have this, plot twist never did (not physically at least) but at least I continued with Fire Red, Ruby (never finished it) Diamond and Platinum, Soul Silver and I kinda stopped there, currently playing Omega Ruby because yeah, nostalgia, oh and yeah I finished Pokémon yellow recently in Anbernic RG351V, so a very good way to achieve it if you ask me.
It would have been interesting if they released more games like Pokémon yellow (making it easier to feel we are in the anime).
Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Not a bad game per se, but I don’t get the hype behind it. Sure the dungeons are fun but the world is so lifeless, the story non existent, the combat pretty shallow, the tower climbing is very much like FarCry but for some reasons it’s okay here while Ubisoft gets the blame…like I said I dont get why the game is so beloved. Never finished it after the 20 hour mark and probably never will.
Maybe you are missing, or ignoring the context that this was like the big jump from conventional Zelda to… Well BOTW.
I don’t consider myself a Zelda guy, but I have played several games, and I find BOTW a very good open world, yeah, it might feel empty, but at the same time it feels like you can do lots of things, kinda like making your own adventure, so I guess it needs commitment from the user side.
That aspect made me understand the context of the game and I have been having a lot of fun with it, if you see something you must likely can interact with it, or has a meaning.
This is very impressive for a Wii U/Switch game if you ask me, and also I feel like if I don’t play BOTW before Tears of The Kingdom I would never go back to try it 🤣 (that is why I’m paying it).
My only real issue with it is that its soundtrack on the field is so dull, some people like it and say that it is to be ambient or subtle, but screw that, give me my epic tracks! I need something that moves my feet lol, there must be a reason why many RPGs (which are with us before open world games and provide a lengthy experience) have catchy tracks.
I also miss story driven games such as Uncharted games, playing several open world games in a row can be exhausting, I kinda feel it for game reviewers and such.
Maybe the change of style helped? IDK I remember I enjoyed it a lot, but yeah, the enemy variation was its greatest fault, I hope they fixed this with the sequel, that I haven’t played.
Competitive Pokemon must be cool, no doubt about it, but I always found competitive weird because it is barely Pokemon but just spinning PokeBalls because of the constant switches lol.
If the entry point for competitive wouldn’t be that much time consuming (breeding and such) I’d have tried it a bit more… Nowadays I’m just on the casual side (very casual because I am stuck at Omega Ruby yet).
