this reeks like Keanu’s unwashed hair; an exec’s “great idea: what if we put the famous dude in our game, AGAIN?” because we are so thoroughly unconfident in our game’s gameplay that flavor of the month/year/decade will surely make up for it.

this highlights the tragedy of the Crystal Chronicles remaster; they should have simply been able to boot that up and play the game together, but alas

glad they added khajit, that was my main complaint from the first game

Microsoft documents leak new Bethesda games, including an Oblivion remaster (www.theverge.com) angielski

Remember that these were estimates from more than three years ago and before Microsoft completed its acquisition of ZeniMax in March 2021, so there’s always the chance that some of these plans have changed dramatically or been scrapped entirely. But they may provide an early look at some of the games we can look forward to...

Unity issue an apology on Twitter for "confusion and angst" over the runtime fee policy. (nitter.net) angielski

We have heard you. We apologize for the confusion and angst the runtime fee policy we announced on Tuesday caused. We are listening, talking to our team members, community, customers, and partners, and will be making changes to the policy. We will share an update in a couple of days. Thank you for your honest and critical...

The apology seems insincere, as they always do; however, a company bending to consumer feedback in this manner is a good thing (if they actually make meaningful changes).

thanks for the tip and support!

Pom Poko is one of my favorite movies, and the Shiren 5 article is practically inspired by the movie.

the problem is that we’ve allowed this to happen. all mobile games function this way, the “rug” can be pulled at any time. all that money you spent on gacha pulls, was it worth it?

the problem goes back innocuously to MMO subscriptions, i think. which had a valid reason for existing, but an MMO can be “rug pulled” at any time as well, thankfully most of the greats have stayed up (wow, ffxi, eq) but ONE DAY they will be gone forever, relegated to private servers only.
