TachyonTele,

Says they want to add n-body physics.
So it’ll never be finished, thanks for the heads up.

  • TachyonTele,

    I’ll start the comment war.
Breath of the Wild is far closer to being a true Zelda game than Ocarina of Time.
    (Minus the dungeons)

    TachyonTele,

Exactly. They even demoed the BotW concepts in a Zelda 1 like environment. I don’t know how closer to being back to roots you could go.

    TachyonTele,

    That’s a wild recommendation.
I never bothered to get past the first real mission, so I don’t know how true it is. It’s a goddamn slog playing the game.

    TachyonTele,

Everything you’ve described is so far past where my point of giving up is, none of that matters. “Charging through it” is watching 3 hours of cutscenes and only God knows how little gameplay.

    TachyonTele,

“professional” reviewers never tell how the game runs or any problems games always have these days when they’re released. They’re basically useless.

    TachyonTele,

They need to stop reviewing games based on “if” patches fix things. What is the state of the game right now? That sort thing.

Are any games using neural networks for better hard AI that doesn't cheat? angielski

Playing complex strategy games for many years, one of the things that irks me the most is that hard AI levels often just give the dumb AI cheats to simulate it being smarter. To me, it’s not very satisfying to go against cheating AI. Are any games today leveraging neural networks to supplant or augment hand-written decision...

    TachyonTele,

    The Rain World Animation Process.
While the title suggests only animation, the AI is tied directly into the animations so you gat a 2 for 1 deal in this video.

    TachyonTele,

Well yeah. You gotta have sound in a videogame. That’s a no brainer.

And although you no longer need to have your TV on channel 3 or 4, you do need to use an input for it.

    TachyonTele,

I don’t care, I thought Zero Games was awesome. You can do almost anything you want in it, the ultimate sandbox game. Vastly underrated.

    TachyonTele,

I love 2D platformers. I had no idea this game was anything like that. Absolutely no one has talked about it. All I’ve seen is the character with the logo, and it just looks like a bad knockoff of the old sequels, so…
Maybe they should have advertised it.

    TachyonTele, (edited )

People that play games like this PoP don’t generally buy the other games Ubisoft sells. And the people that do play recent Ubisoft games are not going to play this.

That is why things like the anti cheat (for a single player game) turn people off.

    TachyonTele,

Dude, multiple people have told you why. I spelled it out as well.

Unless you’re a dev you’ve chosen a very strange hill to die on.

    TachyonTele,
    TachyonTele,

You being one person that refuses to accept things does not make everyone else wrong.

    TachyonTele,

Why do you even bother to comment a hundred times in here if you’re not going to read anything anyone is saying to you?

What’s the point? Are you really that bored?

    TachyonTele,

The controls in X4 are so horrible though.

    TachyonTele,

Why finish the game when you can sell “ships” for hundreds of dollars each?

    TachyonTele,

    The controls and menus.

    TachyonTele,

Steam might be able to bind that. But then you’re probably going to need a diagram next to you while you play so you remember all your controls.

    TachyonTele,

No, X is absolutely my type of game. Don’t blame me for the horrible controls and menus, I didn’t create that hot mess. It’s also a well complained about part of the game.

    TachyonTele,

I didn’t blame you. Over the years I’ve seen some really impressive controller setting though. You can do a lot things with the steam settings. But yeah, you need to want to really invest in learning how to do it, and then actually remembering what you’ve set.

    TachyonTele,

    Jesus. That’s hilarious

In your opinion, what video games have terrible names?

    TachyonTele,

    2017’s Prey

    TachyonTele,

    Bethesda sucks. Damn.

    TachyonTele,

Kain was another installment of the Blood Omen series. It was a sequel.

    TachyonTele,

Supposedly their offices were near eachother and they’d joke about that.

    TachyonTele,

The gameplay is as clumsy as the title. So it FiTS.

    TachyonTele,

I give you props for somehow commenting before I deleted that, seconds after posting it.

    TachyonTele,

    Got’em!
    … wait

    TachyonTele,

Infinite is a great name if the game is good enough to be something like Team Fortress or Counter Strike. A game that’ll be played for decades.

Here’s the online game, and here are the solo games. That would have been great… if the studio could make good games.

    TachyonTele,

This post is about bad names, not brilliance!

    TachyonTele,

No it isn’t. It’s straight up called Civilization VI everywhere. What are you smoking ?

    …steampowered.com/…/Sid_Meiers_Civilization_VI/?c…

It doesn’t say “Civ” anywhere in the promotional text.

    TachyonTele,

Its the same idea as Stephen King’s IT

Starfield's first DLC is one of the worst Bethesda DLCs of all time angielski

Starfield steam page for the DLC currently shows eight user review score of 41%, making this one of the worst Bethesda DLC’s released of all time. This is so horribly, shockingly bad for Bethesda, because it shows as a gaming company, they are no longer capable of delivering a really good gaming experience as they had in the...

    TachyonTele,

At launch, for me at least, it was a cool lonely scramble to survive.

Now it’s a multiplayer game with a bunch of super easy shortcuts all over the place, even outside of the multiplayer. I enjoy playing with my friends, but the solo experience is definitely worse now.

    TachyonTele,

Yeah, I have the permadeath achievement. Once you get off the first planet you’re fine.
It used to be harder for a lot longer. Now you can just teleport anywhere you want at anytime.

    TachyonTele,

I’m sorry if you think I didn’t give an answer. Because I did.

    TachyonTele,

Ah I see. I assumed it was a typo that was supposed to be “bought it at launch”.

But yeah “in” totally makes sense too. Thank you for pointing that out.

    TachyonTele, (edited )

It was Sega’s last console. The PlayStation 2 obliterated it, among other factors.

Fun fact, Microsoft used the Dreamcast controller scheme as a starting point for the Xbox controller.

    TachyonTele,

    Did not know that. Cool

    TachyonTele,

Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous has crazy depth of story, can be turn based or active combat, and you can adjust a ton of difficulty options to suit your taste. Lots and lots of exploring.

    TachyonTele,

I play with a controller on PC, and while I’m fine with the campaign battles in WotR, it irritates me to no end how they change the controls for them. It doesn’t make any sense at all to do it, but they did. No matter what I will eventually accidentally skip turns because of that dumb decision.

One example, for those that don’t play with a controller: In regular party fights pressing the shoulder buttons will select an enemy, which can be a huge help instead of using the pointer.

But in the campaign army battles the shoulder buttons skip your turn. Why??

    TachyonTele,

That was because Nintendo went behind Sonys back on the deal. They were trying to eat both pies.

    TachyonTele, (edited )

Now you should name something MYNOT

    TachyonTele,

Good catch, I didn’t think about that.

    TachyonTele,

This looks perfect for office downtime with the team on slow days
