NocturnalMorning,

I hate when I accidently spend months developing an ad feature that gets turned on by accident in my ps5.

NocturnalMorning,

I loved ff16, some people don’t like the batte system, but I found it to be really fast paced, and made me feel like I was a badass. The story us pretty good, in my opinion.

On the flip side, my friend played it and said it was fun, but the story was predictable.

NocturnalMorning,

Anybody who’s played palworld knows the game is nothing like pokemon. What’s next, are they going to claim they are the only company who can make games with 4 legged animals?

NocturnalMorning,

These can’t be real, they read like they were generated by an AI prompt.

NocturnalMorning,

Just because it has a resemblance to pokemon doesn’t make it pokemon. The gameplay is completely different.

NocturnalMorning,

If you can’t draw inspiration from other games, then the gaming industry as a whole is in trouble.

NocturnalMorning,

You obviously haven’t actually played the game.

NocturnalMorning,

Obviously not

NocturnalMorning,

Just play the game and find out.

NocturnalMorning,

How much innovation can you get when you have to spend millions of dollars on large teams to develop games now, compared to even 10 years ago? It’s not really all that surprising that companies want to play it safe. It’s a large investment, and they don’t know if there will be a return on it.

That doesn’t even get into the fact that there’s only so many combinations of things you can do in a video game.

Is Elder Scrolls 6 doomed to fail? I can't see how it will work angielski

After the massive blunder of Starfield, I cannot see how Elder scrolls 6 could possibly be successful. Everything points to the fact that they knew that the game was not even half finished, in my opinion, with major glaring issues, and they decided to just send it off anyway. The difference between this game and Oblivion is that...

NocturnalMorning,

Fall Out 4 was fine, definitely didn’t fail. Your expectation of games is way too high.

rdr2 question angielski

Finally bought this on the steam sale, playing on steamdeck. Im all about open world games where you can do whatever you want. I hate being locked into “missions”, escort quests, etc. I like a game having these as an option to do at my leisure however. Im several hours in and the environment looks amazing, would love to go...

NocturnalMorning,

Yes, the game gets much better. If you want something totally “open world” there’s an online game mode too.

NocturnalMorning,

That’s not really much of a spoiler

NocturnalMorning,

Yeah, I tried it for the first time the other day, seemed a little too open. I wasn’t even sure what I was supposed to do. Encountered one single player in the hour I was online playing it.

NocturnalMorning,

Haha, currently playing rdr2 again right now. There are plenty of terrible missions in the game. Depending on if you’re talking regular missions or story missions, some of the story missions where you shoot up the whole damn town are stupid, and then you just go pay a bounty and it’s all okay. But, you can’t enter Blackwater under any circumstances or tye calvary comes in and shoots you up, dead within 10 seconds of stepping foot there.

Lots of essentially fetch quests, especially the ones where you go shake down people for loan money for strauss.

There are missions you can fail for venturing too far away from people, but you’re never told that until you’re too far away already. This is just what I could think of off the top of my head.

NocturnalMorning,

The story is pretty dumb. I wouldn’t say it’s bad necessarily, I just think it’s dumb how often we get into whole town shootouts, amd then just pay 80-90 bucks to make it go away. Oh, and fuck Micah, that guy can get lost.

NocturnalMorning,

I don’t know of any unskippable cutscenes in RDR2. At least in the open world part of the game, I’ve been able to skip aby cutscene I’ve wanted too.

NocturnalMorning,

Anti piracy software that slows down your game

NocturnalMorning, (edited )

There’s nothing contested about it. Add a bunch of extra operations to the game loop and you can slow down a game. You only have so much headroom in each frame. Dunova takes up a lot of that time. And let’s not forget you can literally go tests with games that had denovu and then removed it. The testing shows pretty clearly that it does indeed slow down games.

NocturnalMorning,

I work in software… how about that.

NocturnalMorning,

Obviously these are all legitimate backups from games I own.

Doing the lords work

NocturnalMorning,

I was excited to play this game until I saw this. Now I kinda don’t want to play it.

NocturnalMorning,

FF7, I replay the game every 4-5 years.

NocturnalMorning,

Looked really good from the trailer I just watched.

NocturnalMorning,

I liked all three mafia games. I only just played them in the last couple years tho, so I had no idea what anybody else was saying about them.

NocturnalMorning, (edited )

You’re wrong, but that’s okay. You’re allowed to have wrong opinions.

NocturnalMorning, (edited )

As an Indie dev, a 30% cut of profit could be the death of my one man studio (if I ever get around to actually starting it)

NocturnalMorning,

Guy just seems like kind of a dick after reading the article.

NocturnalMorning,

I don’t think I would have noticed the differences honestly if it weren’t a side by side comparison. I do think sometimes the original looks better. Just depends on the shot, the upgrade models look better sometimes, and othertimes not. One thing I did find a little odd is they changed the shape of Tidus’ face in the HD remaster.

NocturnalMorning,

I bought Hogwarts Legacy against my better judgement, and the game had one of the worst main stories I’ve ever played. Honestly exploring the world was more fun than the story, and you can only do so much exploring.

NocturnalMorning, (edited )

I would certainly buy ffIX again.

Edit: they should do a collaboration with these guys www.ffix-memoria.com

They’re all part of the industry, and this looked amazing.

NocturnalMorning,

I don’t honestly understand why Sony is pushing this do hard.

NocturnalMorning,

Don’t be so sure. It could be Dwayne Johnson.

NocturnalMorning,

It’s a crossword puzzle, but using patterns. Regular expressions will match whatever pattern you give it. For example, you could say, match any word that doesn’t have an o or an e in it. That’s what this is, except a bunch of them.

NocturnalMorning,

Nah, I’ve been using regular expressions for like a decade now and i still have to look up how to use them when I need too. They’re super convoluted to understand.

NocturnalMorning,

This is hella difficult, and I’m hooked

NocturnalMorning,

I actually haven’t played any of these games. Maybe I should give em a try.

NocturnalMorning,

I don’t know how i got here, but I seem to have purchased 7 watermelons.

NocturnalMorning,

My friend has told me to watch a bunch of YouTube videos for the lore. It’s apparently very deep.

NocturnalMorning,

I don’t feel that way about ffVVI at all. The story was fantastic. My only complaint was that some of the fights just felt like the eikons were damage sponges.

NocturnalMorning,

They really messed up with ff7 remake part 1. Don’t think I’ll be buying any of the others unless it’s used.

Also, said this before, but splitting it into three titles was an obvious cash grab.

NocturnalMorning,

Yes, but did you play the extra fluff they added to the games to fluff them out? Surely that’s worth paying for the game 3 times.

NocturnalMorning,

I thought the fighting was really fun in ff16. I’m not familiar with DMC though. All a matter of taste I suppose. Second point is fair, I happen to own a ps5, so I was able to play it right away, didn’t even realize it was an exclusive.

NocturnalMorning,

I’m sure the second game is enjoyable. I’ve heard a lot of good things about it. It’s still a money grab to split the game into three separate titles.

NocturnalMorning,

That sucks, I have OG FF7 I bought a few years ago on my ps4. Would be unfortunate if they suddenly decided I needed an internet connection for it.

I’ve about had it with modern game company antics honestly.
