I find these kinds of articles fairly useless until Microsoft announces what their actual plans are. Until then we’re all just speculating based on one tweet from Phil Spencer and some unverified rumors.
I have no problem with subscriptions as they are right now, my issue is a potential future where I am not given the opportunity outright buy the games I want to play.
I’m going to be able to cut down swathes of ‘nids with a heavy bolter so it’s gonna be at least an 9/10 for me. I just wish they’d let me play as a death company, I’m sick of Ultramarines.

Its best ongoing game, not best live service game. I think things like Stardew Valley or No Man’s Sky fit into this just like Cyberpunk did because devs should be praised for when they go above and beyond. I’d argue CDPR owed that to their fans but still, they mostly pulled it off.
