Is there a alternative platform to roblox for players and gamedevs? angielski

Is there a alternative to roblox (preferably free) that is just better overall and dosent take advantage of everyone? I want to make games but also be a player… How might i do so and not use roblox? It feels like most clones are dead or close to it but what do you think? What do you suggest and why so?

Roblox has always struck me as being like Unity (and i suppose Godot too but i haven’t touched that for game development). Similar environments and tools. Roblox only really handles distribution, but you can easily handle that yourself with itch or gamejolt (or if you have the cash i believe steam is 100$ for a developer account). This is only really for single player experiences though

Today’s game is some more of The Last of Us. I made it all the way through the chapters with Sam and Henry, and damn, did their death’s hit hard. They were only with me for a short while but i kinda got attached to them. Maybe it’s because the game makes you feel so alone sometimes....

It’s the remake, i believe that’s the only one available for PC though. I may be wrong though

I discovered the crashing i was having seems to be a combination of the game thinking my PC was a Steam Deck and thus messing with some Specs, and the game being a little too powerful. It’s how i always try to approach movies when they’re based on a game (sometimes books too). Still, i can’t say it did me a lot of good with how mixed bags some adaptations are (looking at you OG Mario movie and Uncharted)

Today’s game is Flyknight. A friend gifted this too me on Steam, and from what i can tell it’s a little Dungeoncrawler where you play as a fly. Finally, my biggest fantasy has been fulfilled! It has multiplayer which is why he gifted it to me, and honestly, while i’m not a fan usually of Dungeon Crawlers, it’s good fun...

Old School Runescape i’ve had a decent bit of fun with and i’d recommend it. It takes a lot of reading, but there’s a free option for you to try if you’re unsure and it runs on damn near anything. Granted i’m not the target audience for MMOs. I usually hop in and dick around a little bit then pop out

Today’s game is Mario Kart 64. I want to unlock the 200 CC option so i’ve been playing a bit of this, and plus it’s just straight up my favorite Mario Kart. It’s basic, and straight to the point of Mario Kart, and the Item Balancing feels great. This is nothing i haven’t said before though....

It might be 150CC Mirror lol. I knew the game had one extra mode but couldn’t remember which one it was. My first thought was Mirror mode but then i thought of the jump in DK’s Jungle Parkway and went “No way they’d change the map for mirror mode on the N64” and assumed it was 200 CC

Today’s game is some more Zomboid. We played some more of our save where we’re camped out in the Military Apartment. We even got another Friend on (Who we call Chef). He owned the game but never got to give it much of a try until now, so we decided to rectify that (plus he also helped us board up windows and burn corpses)....

Every once and a while Cataclysm DDA will show up online and i’ll think “I need to try it”, but never do. I know zomboid references it so i really should pick it up sometime

It will be nice to have more people on though. I love zomboid but the more people to make it feel like an apocalypse the better. I can’t wait for them to add NPCs to the game just to help with that

I did! Day 1 in fact. It was a lot of fun. I can’t wait for it to come to multiplayer so me and my friend can go to Louisville and make a base in one of the Skyscrapers they showed off

We usually just go with the flow, though that mostly results in us just defaulting to the same thing anyways. I always turn out as the Combat/Carpentry guy

I believe so! they were in the game at some point and they removed them for being buggy. I believe they’d said they’re on the road map a few updates down too

Me too. I know i’ve said this so many times in the past so i probably sound like a broken record, But i genuinely wasn’t expecting to make it this long. Most things that i’m consistent about don’t last for more than a month. A few months at most

Me neither. When i started it was just me dropping the Screenshot and dipping, i’m much happier with these longer posts though. I’ve thought about changing the title a few times top reflect it and others have suggested it, but at this point i think it’s too late for that

Zomboid is very much like that. You can kind of develop a 6th sense as too what buildings are dangerous with how the game loves to fuck the player over (in a good way). It’s a fun experience all around though

I adore how Zomboid is very grounded like that. It feels like it purposefully avoids giving the player a power fantasy. Or more accurately I’d say it tries to deceive the player by making them think they’re powerful but then rips it away by throwing something at them. It’s really addicting, I have to imagine it’s not for everyone though

I tried the demo and couldn’t really get into Hades unfortunately. Though it probably had my lack of interest in Greek Mythology working against it. Maybe i’ll try picking it up again though, that was years ago and i’ve found my tastes have changed
