I continued playing through Pokemon Ultra Moon today. I made it all the way to the second island. I spent a lot of time systematically going through each route on the first island and clearing the dex of all the base forms i could find to help go towards my goal of a complete national dex in Pokemon Home, but overall today was...
Today me and my friend Continued through Halo 4 Legendary since i’m bedridden today. We played through 3 more levels, and only have 3 left. I’m enjoying the story so far. The designs are a bit meh for me though, but that’s just personal taste. They feel a bit generic Sci-fi to me....
The covenant in this one feels less like an actual story element and more like they’re just there because they’re expected. I guess that would tie back into what you’re saying about how it’s just ticking the boxes
I caught the flu today. After much DayQuill and sleeping, I eventually found myself laying in bed playing Pokemon Ultra Moon on my 3DS. I originally was just working on transferring my Sonny dex over to Home, but then decided “fuck it, let’s start on the Alola dex too”. So I booted up the game and started it....
USUM feels like the franchises often forgotten title i feel like. I really enjoyed the OGs, and though the whole Ultra Beast thing in USUM doesn’t really interest me, it is nice to have more content. I agree with the graphics and Soundtrack too, tropical things don’t really do it for me, but Sun and Moon i really enjoyed the OST for
I don’t know much about the Ultra Story line, but from what i do know about it (Ultra Beasts and Team Rainbow Rocket), it just really doesn’t do it for me
Today’s game is Halo 4. Me and my friend ended up reversing our decision to go to Halo Reach then 4. The game looks amazing, i can’t help but feel like it’s missing some of the Halo feel to it though. It kind of reminds me more of Doom 2016 (despite being 4 years older). It’s still fun to play though, just feels off....
Me and my friend had just made it through the first two levels which I don’t think have any of the new AI, but somehow they feel both smarter and dumber at the same time. Like they can hit shots ridiculously well, but also, they’ll just stand there staring at you sometimes
I finally finished the Night Springs DLC for Alan Wake 2. I really loved the DLC. The ending of Time Breaker was amazing. One really cool section i loved was the ASCII art of Alan:...
I’d say it’s worth it to play the First one before playing the second one. The second one does a decent job of catching you up to speed, but I still think playing the first one is well worth it for the narrative value
I briefly sidelined any progress on Alan Wake 2 to hopefully finish up Halo 3 Legendary tonight.it did not in fact happen as the IWHBYD skull ended up taking far longer than i thought. It also made me wonder how someone discovered the thing because the puzzle is elaborate. We ended up drawing it out so long as we didn’t...
Me and my friend continued our Halo Legendary Difficulty “project”. Now that Halo 2 is done, we’re making lightning speed on Halo 3. We’ve gone from almost half a year for the entirety of Halo 2, too 3 more levels left of Halo 3. I also just found out that Halo 3 has 4 player multiplayer, so i’ll have to recruit a few...
Oh shit. I was thinking to myself “I wish I got that on a clip with steam”. I just remembered forge sexists though. I wonder if I could clip the replay through that?
Maybe it’s just nostalgia, but Halo 3’s vibe is one of my favorites. The plot feels a bit short for some reason but I really like it, especially the multiplayer
I’ve heard good things about reach, especially the ending. I played the first few levels the other day when it was the only Halo game installed and I just wanted to play some Halo with my friend. I’m excited to get too it though
The Elites in the first few level gave me so much trouble. It wasn’t until I heard the Plasma Pistol tip that I actually started to make any progress. We spent like two weeks of and on trying the first level alone
Yeah. I have a disk copy of Halo 3 and ODST for 360, but I’m scared that mine will Red Ring so I try to avoid playing until I can properly maintenance it. The online multiplayer is super nice though
I finally finished Night Springs Episode 2 in Alan Wake 2. I have to say that it was a lot of fun. There’s one section where you’re being chased by these guys in coffee suits:...
I finally figured out how to move my files over from my Steam Deck to my new PC, and moved my Skyrim Modpack over, though i wouldn’t be surprised if the cursor in the center gave it away for anyone. I decided to give it a test to make sure everything still worked after downgrading it....
I had Syncthing setup on my deck from when i first got it, but Syncthing was having issues for me and my Network is slow as fuck (50 mbps). So instead i opted to use a 64 GB USB Drive that has that swivel thing that goes from USB-C to USB 3 and transfer it via that. I compressed everything before hand into a zip file just to make it faster and quicker
I think the best part is that my only Vanilla playthrough i recall fully completing, was on the switch, with the Link Gear, and me turning the game into a fever dream of a Zelda game
Never played the Civ series before, but I’m totally into strategy games. Recently got 200 hours into Pennon and Battle and kinda burned out now. The Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era which I’m hyped for isn’t out yet, and there’s nothing else in the strategy genre grabbing me. Was about to jump into Civ 7 but saw the...
I continued Alan Wake 2 today after my little Halo 2 detour yesterday. I was up late trying to get to Night Springs Episode 2 (we’re all about 2s today). Alan’s first few chapters took a while, but that’s okay because i’ll never pass up an excuse too explore more of the Dark Place. Something about it is just so much fun...
I feel like Remakes recently have just been like that. This is looking good, and then there’s the SH2 Remake and from what i heard all the Resident Evil Remakes have been amazing too
Me and my friend have finally finished our off and on again project of Halo 2 Legendary. Let me tell you, it was hell. The forced Iron Skull for Co-Op on Legendary made it so painful and we got locked in place so many times. I feel like by that point we should have just gone and done LASO lol. I took this screenshot right before...
Thank you for telling me about this. I did a trial run of Oracle with Bandanna on today and struggled so hard. I wasn’t sure how I’d manage without bandana lol. I’m still not sure how we managed to beat it the first time tbh. It must have been luck
Damn. H2 in a single day is impressive. You have genuine respect from me for that.
I’m collecting all the advice people are giving me for my LASO run I hope to do some day. Not sure how I’ll handle that though. Thankfully Halo 3’s Legendary seems a bit more merciful. Me and my friend did the first two levels and it wasn’t that much of a challenge. Honestly part of me misses the crushing challenge that H2 proved a little bit though
That level and the final one with the warthog race were such a pain to deal with for us. The only cover was the Tank and even then enemies seemed to always find you. I do not blame you for giving up. That level was a struggle to get through
That’s how I was with my first Laptop lol. I had a cheapy Acer Aspire with 6 GB of RAM and a Duo Core i3. It lasted me from 2018-2022, when I replaced it with my Steak Deck. That thing suffered through so many games it reasonably should not have.
It ended up in a similar situation as yours with my pet rat, who while I was letting her roam as I cleaned her cage, dragged her Water Bowl over and dumped it on the thing. It survived, but had to be hooked up with an external keyboard and mouse for the rest of it’s life
I started Alan Wake 2’s Night Spring DLC today (after realizing i walked right past the first episode during my playthrough). The entire episode i loved. It was a short, but i loved every second of it. It was fun to have something that doesn’t take it’s self seriously and just run amok as Rose with basically infinite...
After completing the first two chapters of Alan Wake 2, i decided to take a quick break before starting the DLC (i believe they start in the story, but i’m not 100% sure). I decided to take a break by playing Assassin’s Creed Rogue. This isn’t the best well crafted AC game in my opinion, but i have a soft spot for it...
What I assume happened is that my mom saw a video of one of the sex mods and thought it was actual gameplay content and didn’t want to hand younger me what she thought was straight up porn. It is a bit ironic though lol
Today i continued through Alan Wake 2. I have started Alan’s Section. I got to the very end of Chapter 2, but ran into a bug where Alan doesn’t push a subway car door open while being chased so i stopped there....
It’s not required I’d say, but there’s far more of a Pay Off if you do. It, and its Spin off Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, lays so much of the ground work for the ideas seen in this one that the pay off is amazing to see
