World I think definitely has more to offer for die hard Mario Kart fans. As a Family or group game though I’d say 8 is the better title.

8 you just pick it up, pick a character, pick a car, and pick a cup (or track if you’re doing VS), without having to worry about which tracks connect to which and all the new mechanics introduced in world

That definitely was the biggest complaint with it. I like it narratively, but it definitely was a steep challenge having too lose all the upgrades

I’m a sucker for nuance in a antagonist (as long as it’s not trying to redeem someone who can’t really be redeemed), so getting to see Abby’s perspective really is something I like, especially now knowing her motivations

It’s been a bit difficult with The Last of Us because I feel self obligated to mix things up regularly, but it has been fun, especially showing off my favorite sights and parts in the story. I feel a bit like a tourist seeing a city for the first time lol

Now that you mention it I am curious what the first record for first sea lion in a 3D game is though. We get a lot of them nearish to where I live, so it was fun seeing them in a game. Can confirm though, absolute good boy.

Today’s game is No Man’s Sky. With the new corvette update i had to play it. Games with fully functional ship building functions are what i live for and i’m happy to have it here. There is a story. I wouldn’t say it’s particularly fascinating unless you really love Sci-Fi but there’s a bunch of side quests to do as well

I had a lot of good emulating it on PC with a PS5/4 Controller emulating the Cursor with the touchpad. I bet you could use Gyro to also reproduce the same controls 3D all stars though

I really enjoyed Console minecraft with my sister and friends growing up. Play the Wii U version (with CEMU) and get a ROM and you’re set.

Alternatively, can’t go wrong with early Lego Games. They’re basic and simple, but some of the most basic fun you can have too with another person.

Project Zomboid is also great for Co-Op. The controller controls are a little iffy depending on who you ask, but i like them.

Fair enough on the fighting games lol. Smash is the only one that i’ve really found stuck to me. It having multiple franchises i think helps (and contributes to how surreal the image is)

I’ll never forgive DK for Mario Party that faithful evening. Maybe i should look into the DK Amiibo, it’d be fun to contribute to my friend group’s bit like that. Assuming the Amiibo isn’t crazy expensive.

It really can be like that. I started strong with my younger brothers and now i’d say they can beat my ass a good 6/10 times if they try hard enough. Granted i don’t play nearly as much as they do

Damn, Skylanders is a name I haven’t heard in a while. I wonder if I had the DK one growing up. I collected those things like hot cakes so it’s possible. Anything to avoid spending more money. Alternatively I think I bought some NFC tags I can write myself now that I think about it specifically for this purpose

It has to be Halo MCC for me. After clearing Halo 2’s Legendary i played so much of that. I was at 40 hours with Halo 2 Legendary, now i’m at 240 Hours and trying LASO with friends. I think a lot of that can be attributed to just having a friend group i jive well with when playing it with them though.

I’d argue it’s up there as a contender for one of the best Nintendo Games. They have a large catalog to pick from though. I’d even argue most of the 3D Mario’s are a solid choice

I ripped all of them i could and put them on a Jellyfin server for listening. It really is nice, i also keep them burnt to CDs though just as back up because for some reason where i live still doesn’t have constant coverage

My controversial Mario takes is that i don’t really care for Pauline. I don’t hate her, but i also can’t find it in me to get excited about her either. But yeah, Rosalina really has been a extra peach clone for the most part which is a shame
