Today me and my friend Continued through Halo 4 Legendary since i’m bedridden today. We played through 3 more levels, and only have 3 left. I’m enjoying the story so far. The designs are a bit meh for me though, but that’s just personal taste. They feel a bit generic Sci-fi to me....

The covenant in this one feels less like an actual story element and more like they’re just there because they’re expected. I guess that would tie back into what you’re saying about how it’s just ticking the boxes

I caught the flu today. After much DayQuill and sleeping, I eventually found myself laying in bed playing Pokemon Ultra Moon on my 3DS. I originally was just working on transferring my Sonny dex over to Home, but then decided “fuck it, let’s start on the Alola dex too”. So I booted up the game and started it....

USUM feels like the franchises often forgotten title i feel like. I really enjoyed the OGs, and though the whole Ultra Beast thing in USUM doesn’t really interest me, it is nice to have more content. I agree with the graphics and Soundtrack too, tropical things don’t really do it for me, but Sun and Moon i really enjoyed the OST for

Today’s game is Halo 4. Me and my friend ended up reversing our decision to go to Halo Reach then 4. The game looks amazing, i can’t help but feel like it’s missing some of the Halo feel to it though. It kind of reminds me more of Doom 2016 (despite being 4 years older). It’s still fun to play though, just feels off....

Me and my friend had just made it through the first two levels which I don’t think have any of the new AI, but somehow they feel both smarter and dumber at the same time. Like they can hit shots ridiculously well, but also, they’ll just stand there staring at you sometimes

I’d say it’s worth it to play the First one before playing the second one. The second one does a decent job of catching you up to speed, but I still think playing the first one is well worth it for the narrative value

It definitely looks cool. It was a bit jarring the first time though. Playing at 4k probably made it stand out a bit more though

Maybe it’s just nostalgia, but Halo 3’s vibe is one of my favorites. The plot feels a bit short for some reason but I really like it, especially the multiplayer

I’ve heard good things about reach, especially the ending. I played the first few levels the other day when it was the only Halo game installed and I just wanted to play some Halo with my friend. I’m excited to get too it though

The Elites in the first few level gave me so much trouble. It wasn’t until I heard the Plasma Pistol tip that I actually started to make any progress. We spent like two weeks of and on trying the first level alone

Yeah. I have a disk copy of Halo 3 and ODST for 360, but I’m scared that mine will Red Ring so I try to avoid playing until I can properly maintenance it. The online multiplayer is super nice though

The first two are definitely helpful. Cover and Reload times were the two things i struggled with most on Halo 2 (and CE a bit too)

I finally figured out how to move my files over from my Steam Deck to my new PC, and moved my Skyrim Modpack over, though i wouldn’t be surprised if the cursor in the center gave it away for anyone. I decided to give it a test to make sure everything still worked after downgrading it....

I had Syncthing setup on my deck from when i first got it, but Syncthing was having issues for me and my Network is slow as fuck (50 mbps). So instead i opted to use a 64 GB USB Drive that has that swivel thing that goes from USB-C to USB 3 and transfer it via that. I compressed everything before hand into a zip file just to make it faster and quicker

I think the best part is that my only Vanilla playthrough i recall fully completing, was on the switch, with the Link Gear, and me turning the game into a fever dream of a Zelda game

Thank you for telling me about this. I did a trial run of Oracle with Bandanna on today and struggled so hard. I wasn’t sure how I’d manage without bandana lol. I’m still not sure how we managed to beat it the first time tbh. It must have been luck

Damn. H2 in a single day is impressive. You have genuine respect from me for that.

I’m collecting all the advice people are giving me for my LASO run I hope to do some day. Not sure how I’ll handle that though. Thankfully Halo 3’s Legendary seems a bit more merciful. Me and my friend did the first two levels and it wasn’t that much of a challenge. Honestly part of me misses the crushing challenge that H2 proved a little bit though

That level and the final one with the warthog race were such a pain to deal with for us. The only cover was the Tank and even then enemies seemed to always find you. I do not blame you for giving up. That level was a struggle to get through

That’s how I was with my first Laptop lol. I had a cheapy Acer Aspire with 6 GB of RAM and a Duo Core i3. It lasted me from 2018-2022, when I replaced it with my Steak Deck. That thing suffered through so many games it reasonably should not have.

It ended up in a similar situation as yours with my pet rat, who while I was letting her roam as I cleaned her cage, dragged her Water Bowl over and dumped it on the thing. It survived, but had to be hooked up with an external keyboard and mouse for the rest of it’s life

It’s not required I’d say, but there’s far more of a Pay Off if you do. It, and its Spin off Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, lays so much of the ground work for the ideas seen in this one that the pay off is amazing to see
