I really enjoyed the style of the Link’s Awakening remake and I’m glad to see it return! And yeah, lots of variability and replay value with those mechanics I think

I recently played through Miles Morales twice and decided to play the previous Spiderman game. Still having fun, but I’m trying to get to the sections with Miles (he’s my personal favorite). It’s interesting to see the kinds of side quests and mini games they chose to keep in retrospect.

My nephew absolutely loves Kirby anything. We played some of the games together on an emulator during his visit last year, but it’s a few more years before I’ll introduce him to Dream Course. The 2d platformers are more his speed currently. And by that I mean “as long as he crossed the finish line he beat the level” even if I helped. It’s been fun playing through them to practice for the cool points

Hmmm… When I finished the four levels in Terra Nil it unlocked four more scenarios with different maps to play. You’re right though, more would have been fun to have.

I picked up King of Seas on sale just to have something silly to play. It’s a fun little thing, getting to roam around as a pirate and dodging the navy and main quest alike in pursuit of a fancier ship

I still occasionally fire up Lego City Undercover for the fun of it. I find the mechanic of being able to switch between all the roles a little bit more enjoyable than only having access to one or two sets of skills, but it’s a minor quibble when all of the games are so much fun.

Those are always so much fun, and I always end up trying to replicate the more approachable ones so I can be the “cool” uncle

TUNIC is up around the top of my list, but I’m also looking forward to the Mario showcases and the MegaMan 8 run. Fingers crossed for marathon luck during the pokemon crystal rando run, and for Shenanigans to pick another fight with chat.

(I’m loving watching the dev’s face during TUNIC)

That’s fair, I went and stacked the firewood I split during the monkeyball run cuz they’re not really my jam.

I’ll admit I’m unsure what you’re referring to with the management style but I’m sad they give you the ick, and I hope you don’t feel pressed to expand if you don’t feel like it

Cities: Skylines but ecosystem repair. Plant forests, regrade areas of mountains to mitigate landslide potential, reintroduce species and study their functional relationships with each other… Game progression comes in the form of additional research grants or new area assignments which present new challenges and unlock a new set of tools/procedures, but the successes from previous sites allow for migration of the reintroduced species into the new site.
