Valve just needs a way to ensure you are over the age of 18, and I know a way they can do that WITHOUT collecting IDs. They need to incorporate an age quiz like leisure suit Larry.
I kinda rolled my eyes when they name dropped new Vegas, people were already expecting “new Vegas 2” the first time for some reason. I kept my hopes low and was still kinda disappointed by outer worlds, didn’t hate it at all, was just left sitting there after I beat the game, thinking out loud “thats it?”. My whining aside, I do think that they’ll do better in a sequel.
Ireland crossed its threshold, meaning the minimum of 7 countries in the EU have now done so. At approximately 395k total people signed, it is currently not on pace to reach 1M by July 31st without a signal boost from someone with a lot of followers.
Riot Games added some new clauses to its Terms of Service that could put some players in hot water for unbecoming behavior that occurs “across the various places that touch their gaming experience.” Players can face penalties, suspensions and even “Riot-wide bans” if they are caught violating these new rules.
Every awful person I had to deal with in my life had one thing in common, they were league fiends. It’s crazy but it’s true, even with some of my best friends, they were becoming unbearable when they were at the height of their league faze. Some people in my family, its just league all day, complain about their team, complain about their internet, won’t show up for dinner because they started a game 30 minutes ago. When you ask them a question, or try to communicate while they’re in game, you just get a look and attitude like you’re an asshole or a weirdo. Try to play some casual games with them? You get yelled at. That game can burn for all I care, it lobotomizes people.
It’s beyond insane to me that a $70 “AAAA” game (kidding, it’s AAA) dips down to the absurd price of $5. I’ve never seen anything like it. Wish the entire Sims 4 “collection” if you can call it that was $5 total, would be incredible, or Starfield.
I think the guy is smart, and I used to hold his opinion in very high regard. But after he shat his opinion out and just doubled down and refusing to talk with Ross after calling him and his movement “scummy” I lost alot of respect for him. The dude can make 2 whole videos shitting on Ross and the movement but won’t talk to him about it? fuck off. Every time I watch a video of his he just sounds so pretentious to me now. And for someone that shines his “20 years of gamedev” purple heart badge every 15 mins, he acts willfully ignorant to the years of people self hosting reverse engineered WOW servers acting like its impossible for the community to keep these games preserved.
In the letter, Democrat senator Mark Warner argues that Valve’s content moderation doesn’t meet industry standards, and says he wants Valve to “crack down on the rampant proliferation of hate-based content”....
The guy who won’t go 5 seconds without flashing his “20 years of service to Blizzard” badge also was dumbfounded at the possibility of people self hosting game servers like World of Warcraft, even though they’ve been doing it for years. Dude seems like a MASSIVE know it all.
