CmdrShepard,

I don’t know who this guy is or anything about the situation other than what’s written here, but if he’s naming specific charities supposedly receiving these donations, it makes zero sense that they’d be “looking for a good charity to donate to.” If that were the case there’d be zero reason to name the ones they did.

CmdrShepard,

I don’t understand why anyone would buy the $450 digital version plus a $70 Bluray disc drive add-on rather than just paying $500 for a disc model capable of playing blurays and games. Very strange on Sony’s part.

CmdrShepard,

I think it’s because most people already tried out the Quest 2 since it was a bargain. I bought one and forget I even own it most of the time and the same goes for 4/5 of the other people I know with one.

VR is not bad but it nothing about it has really drawn me in at all.

CmdrShepard,

Not so surprising to me. The same thing happened to the PSVR 1.

CmdrShepard,

I think it’s a reference to it’s smaller size.

CmdrShepard,

I think this (mild/moderate annoyance) is probably the most common reason for inventing things. From cars to remote controls.

CmdrShepard,

Now you must go further down the rabbit hole and watch musicless music videos on youtube.

CmdrShepard, (edited )

They’re music videos where the music and singing is cut and ‘ambient’ noise like squeaky shoes, breathing, grunting while doing dance moves, etc is dubbed back in. You’ll see what I mean if you watch one. It may be the same thing but I’ve just always heard of them referred to as “musicless music videos”

CmdrShepard,

The G20 summit seems like the ideal ground for an energy vampire feast.

CmdrShepard,

I think it’s been having issues the last few days. I’ve had it on there and Jackett previously for years without issue but I haven’t been able to connect for a few days now.

CmdrShepard,

Yes the site works fine but Prowlarr was having trouble connecting to it, possibly a rate limiting issue, but I think it may have been resolved now as I didn’t notice the warning in radarr when adding movies last night.

CmdrShepard, (edited )

Not that this was one of your listed options, but have you considered setting up your own Plex/Jellyfin/Emby server along with the *arrs and adding her to that? You can’t get much more snappy and Netflix-like than that.

I can’t imagine this would offer a very pleasant viewing experience for a first timer when it relies on stuff like YTS, RARBG (they need to update their page apparently), KAT, EZTV, and TPB. I can see the potential for her to be bombarded with a bunch of fakes and low quality rips.

Prowlarr question angielski

Hey everyone! So I’ve setup successfully Sonarr, Radarr and Bazaar and they all communicate to each other fine. One think I can’t understand why, is that when I search from Prowlarr and forward the downloads to SABnzbd, after the download is done, Sonnar and Radar will not import the files to their database, but the...

CmdrShepard,

Not familiar with SABnzbd but with torrents and searching from Prowlarr, these don’t get assigned the proper category in the download client meaning radarr/sonarr don’t ever see them. With QBittorrent, I can just assign the proper category after adding them, and then the *arrs take it from there.

CmdrShepard,

This is your local sherif, and I demand $10000 paid in ITunes gift cards or else we will issue a warrant for your arrest.

CmdrShepard,

Why are they even continuing to invest money into this dead IP? They milked the show way too long and lost all their fans.

Backwards compatibility is the best feature of Xbox, and I don't understand why Sony is so far behind on this

When I got the XSX recently, it was so I can play Starfield when it comes out. That was basically the only reason. I did not realize the extensive backwards compatibility that this thing has. But since getting it, I’ve been playing FF13 trilogy, Fable games, Dragon Age series, Lost Odyssey, etc. Basically all games of note...

CmdrShepard,

Not to mention the closer you get to modern day, the more games rely on company servers to remain running. Long gone are the days of simple platformers like Super Mario Bros. Many games made in the last 15 years are multi-player games with a basic ass single player added on for ‘compliance’ reasons. It’d still be great for those that want it, but I don’t feel like I’m missing out on much that I can’t replicate myself with ROMs and emulators should the need arise.

CmdrShepard,

“Pay us $25 extra to use your own hardware or we’ll ban you!” ~Microsoft

CmdrShepard,

It sounds oike people aren’t getting banned for playing games, they’re getting banned for using an emulator without paying Microsoft a vig.

CmdrShepard,

I totally agree but it just reminded me of a discussion I had with someone here a couple weeks ago where they talked about the “great advancements” Microsoft has made in the console space compared to Sony and this was one of their primary arguments.

Phil Spencer announces Call of Duty deal with PlayStation

“We are pleased to announce that Microsoft and @PlayStation have signed a binding agreement to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation following the acquisition of Activision Blizzard. We look forward to a future where players globally have more choice to play their favorite games.”...

CmdrShepard,

Honestly the franchise is probably due for a shakeup at this point anyway. You can only release the same game over again each year for so long. I used to be a diehard Battlefield fan but have only played maybe 10 minutes worth of 2142 after owning it for 6 months or more.
