AceFuzzLord, do games w The Weekly 'What are you playing?' Discussion

Tried playing Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time using RPCS3 on my laptop. Didn’t get far into the tutorial before it completely froze. Gave up and completely removed RPCS3 because it was also causing my laptops fan to work hard.

Otherwise, I at least started to get back into Krosmaga by playing a single match in a very long time on my phone last night.

AceFuzzLord, do games w The Weekly 'What are you playing?' Discussion

Just got RPCS3 set up on my laptop and now I just gotta see if my laptop can handle it or not. If not, I’m continuing to stick to solitaire and mahjong on it for a while.

Otherwise, I’ve just been addicted to both Backpack Hero and Shotgun King: The Final Checkmate. Though, I’m less inclined to play Backpack Hero since my story mode save got wiped after I went to the main menu after losing a run.

AceFuzzLord, do gaming w Oh trust me. I know your frustration better than you do.

I personally don’t understand the whole thing of a fictional character in a video game where there is absolutely no romance anywhere having a preference. I don’t care whether my character in a game like Borderlands is straight, gay, lesbian, or anything in between so long as I can pop the heads off my enemies.

I managed to get a copy of Chu Chu Rocket for Dreamcast, so that’s been one I’ve been playing. But I’ve also continued with my addiction to Backpack Hero (even if it’s slowly fading).

AceFuzzLord, do games w [Steam] Which lesser known games have you bought or are planning to buy in this sale?

If it were on sale, I’d say Fling To The Finish. But for now, I’ll have to probably just wait and see what else is on sale that catches my eye.

AceFuzzLord, do gaming w it's the steam winter sales, what game did you enjoy playing and want to share?

Brok The Investigator

In this game you play as an alligator who is an investigator (they rolled with that pun) who throughout the game does various puzzles and gets into fights. It’s not egregiously long and has multiple endings that change depending on your actions, all of which allow you to unlock the true ending, I guess. I have only gotten a single ending, so I don’t know what all the endings are.

It has an easy, normal, and hard difficulty which change the fight difficulty. It says relaxed (easy) difficulty is for those who are just there for the story and puzzles, so I’d assume it might either make the fights ridiculously easy or skip them. No clue since I jumped in straight away on hardcore.

I personally found most of the characters besides one certain robot to be enjoyable. The characters are also fully voiced (English only as of now), but there are 10 other languages for the text. Everything said will pop up in a dialogue box you have to click through, so you can’t miss any dialogue unless you purposefully skip through all of them. Even if you do, afterwards you can open the pause menu and find a transcript of all the dialogue, too.

The game also has a demo for the first chapter, so you can play that and see if it’s a game you would actually buy. Currently it’s $13.99 for the base game or $19.05 for the game alongside the official soundtrack and an artbook. If nothing else, I at least recommend looking up the soundtrack piece Brok and Graff, which is my personal favorite song in the whole entire game.

AceFuzzLord, do gaming w A message from your backlog

I refuse. If I lose interest in a game, I ain’t touching it until I’m ready. It’s one of the big reasons I quit FNV months ago in the middle of what will be my first ever completion of the game.

AceFuzzLord, do gaming w EU court rules people can resell digital games

Wouldn’t surprise me if, assuming this actually comes to fruition, certain game stores such as epic or any of the non-Steam/GoG stores end up implementing the selling of your digital games in the most absolute abhorrent ways imaginable. Things like making the service to sell your games on their shops run at a snails pace, being forced into a profit cut because you use their service, or just flat out editing your account to make you break ToS and then deleting your account.

Just got into Backpack Hero recently after someone I watch online released a video a week or two ago going back to the game now that it’s released. I kinda became a little addicted as it’s pretty much been the only PC game I’ve been playing since I got it.

AceFuzzLord, do gaming w People really hold their mouse like that?!

I’ve been using the fingertip grip when I lay in bed since I ain’t got a proper desk. Otherwise I use more of a palm grip when sitting up and using my mouse on the stand I use to hold my monitor.

AceFuzzLord, do games w What were your top favorite video games as a kid?

Sonic Mega Collection was a game I absolutely loved and provided a ton of hours of my free time when I felt like playing it. That, and around middle school I got really into Borderlands 1 and have been in love since.

AceFuzzLord, do games w US kids want games subscriptions and virtual currency more than games this Christmas

I hope if I ever have a hell spawn or adopt, that I can teach them the ways of not getting addicted to those types of games.

AceFuzzLord, do games w What game did you last finish? What did you think of it?

Pretty sure the last game I fully completed, not just did a successful run of, would have to be Beyond The Edge of Owlsgarde.

It’s a point and click adventure game where you play as a deer who comes home for some sort of celebration, only to find his parents are missing. It’s charming enough and I found the cast to be enjoyable, especially one special death scene where the English voice actor for the main character improvised and created a hilarious scene because of it.

It’s short enough that a full non-commentary playthrough is around 2hrs20min long, but I definitely spent a lot longer on it since I had no idea what to do in certain scenarios. If you don’t mind anthro animal characters and are looking for a decent modern point and click, I would recommend it. I personally enjoyed it despite sometimes having no clue what to do.

…if someone tries to touch you in a place or in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable, that’s NO GOOD.

I just got into Pokemon Xenoverse last weekend and it looks and plays similar to what I imagine a modern pokemon game would feel like if nintendo and gamefreak decided to make a 2D main series game again.

It blows my mind that European pokemon fan games like Realidea System and Xenoverse are so polished that they could possibly be official titles in terms of quality and feature implementation.
