Interesting. I ended up enjoying the sequel a lot more than the original. I’m a metroidvania junky and I found the second one to scratch that itch a lot better than the first. Both are great though. The art is outstanding and was worth tinkering with my monitors HDR settings to get just right
it appears that Alan Wake 2 is on track to be even more popular than Control, with the 2023 sequel having sold 1.3 million units as of this month, the fastest selling Remedy game to date. “By comparison, Alan Wake 2 sold over 50% more copies and over three times more digital copies in its first two months than Control did in its first four months,”
I absolutely love this type of post! If there is interest I would definitely be down to make this another weekly stickied thing alongside the other thread. Anyone feel free to chime in if they want to see that
The article says that often during development they’ll put in simple text to speech stuff for characters as a placeholder. I’d imagine to make sure certain audio hooks work and sound isnt broken
As far as I know it’s made by the Rayman origins / legends devs. Origins is my favorite platformer of all time and metroidvania is my favorite genre. So I am super excited for this!
I can believe it being an accident. The character only has 8 lines of dialogue and it seems (if I am reading right) it’s just the English dub that has this problem? He’s voiced normally in the 4 other fully dubbed languages. It’s truly a bizarre thing to have happened though
On Android, not including stuff you can also get outside netflix:
deaths door
into the breach
shovel knight pocket dungeon
Poinpy (from the downwell dev)
Spiritfarer
Moonlighter
There’s also a few things that you can get through Netflix that’s also available outside of it, like dead cells, world of goo and btd6
Overall it’s my go to place when I feel like finding a game to kill some time. They have a lot more than that but those are some of the higher quality ones
I mean tbh at the height of the show the press conferences were awesome. The shows didn’t have ads (unless you count the games themselves being ads which like, fair I guess). Idk I loved tuning into the shows and seeing announcement after announcement. Sonys 2016 show was a particular highlight. Having a live orchestra to do all the music even during the trailers was a really cool performance imo. It was more than just trailers
Well yeah but the esa was still trying to keep it running. This is the final announcement that they aren’t even trying anymore. It’s done done this time
