luthis,

Thanks, but I’ll pass on Vagante. The last time I tried a rogue-like (Hades) it took over my life. I dread the day Hades 2 is released…

ampersandrew,
@ampersandrew@kbin.social avatar

The funny thing is, for all the acclaim Hades got, I felt it was pretty weak as a roguelike. It was just the combat system, with no room to get creative with it, like lots of other roguelikes would allow for.

Really been enjoying Against the Storm - though I play mostly under 1x speed so I spend so long per level lol - slowly adjusting to speeding up...

Following an assessment by a psychiatrist, however, the judge in the case determined that Kurtaj was unfit to stand trial, and so the jury was asked only to determine if he had actually committed the hacks, but not whether it was done with criminal intent.

I’m curious what “unfit” means here.

As always with the Crown Prosecution service in the UK they love to bully and make an example of Autistic people. Only added by corporation running the court system, The CPS' Prosecution barristers are known to enjoy a life of luxury and gifts from them but you cant touch any of it.

Rpmkp, w Bethesda plans to update Starfield "roughly every six weeks starting in February"

@mike591 sf was.. kind of fun? Playing it on game pass was fine, I’d be pissed if I paid $60 for it though

BruceTwarzen,

It's 70 buckaroos

Rpmkp,

@BruceTwarzen in that case it’s definitely not worth it lol.

@mike591

mike591,

I thought it was fun, despite some clunkiness. I also played it on gamepass and clocked in 100-200 hours. I intend to pick it up again once the game matures a bit more and receives additional expansions.

His skills are crazy impressive. I wish there were some way to point it toward a productive path.

Bethesda’s inability to finish a game and leave it the fuck alone is going to drive me to avoid their products on principle soon.

Just like Cyberpunk 2077, I will wait for this game to be worked on and get it for a discount later. I learned my lesson long time ago, not to buy big AAA games at launch.

curiousaur,

Same. I think cyberpunk is almost done, so I’ll probably grab it when it gets down to half off. We’ll see if Starfield is any good after they finish it in 5 years or so.

Umbrias,

Of course, it’s not just like cyberpunk. Cyberpunk had excellent writing, good pacing, and an overall fascinating story with technically good writing. It just was immersed in a game that had many issues for many people.

Star field is almost the exact opposite, it’s technically functional, with a hollowed out uncooked unseasoned potato for a story.

thingsiplay,
@thingsiplay@kbin.social avatar

I wasn't saying both games are similar, but more comparing the situation both games not worth buying day 1. Developers adding new functionality, features and iron out bugs and performance issues. If I like the core gameplay and story, that's another story. But just like with Cyberpunk, I will wait for the game being worked on and buy it later for a cheaper price.

Umbrias,

I’m just pointing out that cyberpunks issues were issues fixable with updates.

Starfields issues are writing and character, largely. Gameplay is rough, but not the core issue.

Introducing paid mods is something I don't support but I'm interested to see what things look like when it launches on Starfield.

That aside, I hope they take the empty world complaints to heart, if they can make the world more full I am willing to return to the UC Shitcan and fight for my citizenship.

I've got over 100 hours in and all the trophies, nothing left in the base game for me, I'm not doing 10 playthroughs with 1 character though.

Maybe they're just bored of CoD and just haven't figured it out yet.

The UK is perma-imprisoning their subjects for futurecrime and that is dystopian as hell.

Auzy, w Bethesda plans to update Starfield "roughly every six weeks starting in February"

Are they going to add more boring planets, to make it more like real life?

xNIBx, (edited ) w Age of Water: Is set to launch early 2024

I played the beta. I wouldnt call it a good game but it was a game that i enjoyed playing. Maybe i liked it because ever since i was a kid, i was always fascinated by mad max/waterworld. Having your own vehicle, roaming a hostile desert(or sea).

You have a customizable ship, you can build it how you want. And you have a base that can be built and upgraded. And a giant open world with a forgetful story and generic npc. The gameplay was ok, though the world of warships has infinitely superior naval combat. I think it is using similar to war thunder naval combat(same publisher), which is a bit too arcadey for my taste(not that world of warships is a simulator, but it is a more immersive experience).

It’s automated copy and paste generated titles from the article, nothing clickbait

AnonTwo,

You can actually change the title when you post a link from a site though.

conciselyverbose,

lol no one is claiming the users are turning it into clickbait.

Almost all clickbait titles are written by the website it's posted on. And 99.9999% of titles of an article about a game that don't include the name of the game are clickbait.
