Like any awards show, the awards are completely subjective anyway, so it's completely pointless to even care about them, it's not like an old gaming magazine's recommendations.
How is it insane? These games are made to take your money, so they quickly get cheaper until they no longer make meaningful sales. It's why you should never buy AAA games for the first 6-12 months, they will very quickly be a lot cheaper after the publishers scam from the initial hype purchases.
It's an attempt at piggybacking off the success of the first game, but they don't take the time to understand why it was successful and if a sequel is needed. I'd love to see devs try something new when they find success instead of just pumping out a number 2.
