I had the double tap issue with the official Xbox series X controller on PC. On Steam, on Game Pass, everywhere. And I was playing Persona 5 Royal at the time so it skipped dialogue. I returned it to Amazon and got a Dualsense. No issue whatsoever. Can’t even make a damn controller…
Who cares? Give me great game mechanics. It will be the dated missions with you being always an inch from failure in an open world. Give me another Zelda pls. Or better yet (since I haven’t played it) Horizon Forbidden West.
Somehow it didn’t cross my mind until later in TotK that I could hold logs and flint simultaneously in the last two Zeldas so each time I first dropped one to the ground and then the other. I’m dumb.
I don’t have problems with VR. I sold my Quest 2 cos there are not games like Alyx, which I enjoyed a lot, and that’s a pity. I see it going the way of 3D.
I think they want what trans, gay, lesbians, etc have. In terms of resources, jobs, money, social contacts and status. So, just like it happened with religion, they highlight the difference between you and them. Tribes created. Now it’s a Us against Them where them are different, so not human, inferior. If they are not human we can do whatever we want to them. And the rights start to be eroded. People arrested. We can go further down the line but you know what happens next. The Them get eliminated and the Us get the resources. We’ve seen this happen for ages.
There’s not really a best art form in my opinion (and I adore games). Sometimes you want a single one to be the only one, sometimes you don’t feel like being the agent, you only want to be told a story, etc.
