I think its ridiculous that every console’s controller is $70 or more, but the JoyCons are most ridiculous because they are also built like trash and get terrible stick drift after just a few months.
Not set in a fantasy world and was not expansive science fiction
Uh… I mean, it kinda is. The world of the game itself is pretty wild. Monsters of a kind exist, and there is some sort of fog between the continents that csn literally make you stop existing without sci-fi tech to protect you. And it’s growing.
Actually talking to the corpo lady on the boat, doing the church quests, as well as having a high Encyclopedia skill gives you tons of exposition about the world itself, and it is gnarly.
NGL, I would love a new Onimusha that blends a bit of soulslike combat into the RE4/RE2 remake changes with the survival horror elements of the OG. But for the love of god, I do not want to see any half-assed slide puzzles. 😬
I suspect a mix between the popularity of more old-school challenging action games such as Elden Ring and the current trend of not taking any risks on new IPs so everything is getting remade, remastered, or rebooted.
It also might be the Rorschach image on the wall that is clearly supposed to be Cthluhu. That guy is not fun for any age. Not even if you’re an ancient alien.
Objects in museums don’t have to be there because of the art, but also cultural/historical significance. Elden Ring and the rest of Fromsoft’s Soulsborne games definitely deserve to be in a video game museum, like the MADE in Oakland, CA.
Even if it was ripping on the other two games crossed out: Sony owns (or partially owns) those, too. They’re not suing over those games because… They’re theirs.
My main character for D&D is a chaotic evil cleric who follows Cyric. It’s awesome being the one evil character in a party of goody-two-shoes, gaslighting and manipulating them into distrusting each other and otherwise foiling plans for sheer entertainment. As long as shit doesn’t break into all out war, that is. Cyric and the god of war hate each other. 😌
Fortnite. Yes, Fortnite. They’ve added a bunch of crazy stuff similar to Roblox where you can be paid for your content. Hell, Gaijin just bought the rights to a stupid custom map in the game for this very reason.
It’s free, and so are the tools. But the tools are also just… UE5. Which is also free and literally made to develop games.
Idk if you can get these to work on the deck; they are not all sold on Steam and I don’t know how well they play with Linux, but here’s some to at least look into:
Planescape: Torment
Icewind Dale 1 & 2
Baldur’s Gate 1 & 2 (and 3 for that matter, which does for sure work on the deck)
Fallout 1 & 2
Neverwinter Nights (particularly its two big expansions)
feels too much like D&D
Well… Fuck. If you didn’t even like Disco Elysium there is no hope… 😩 All of these are literally D&D games except Fallout, which was based on GURPS.
