BlameThePeacock,

Path of Exile new league drops on Friday, so I’m practicing and theory crafting ahead of that.

BlameThePeacock,

Yup, the factorio devs have earned the trust required.

Can somebody explain why game makers don't start their own companies together? angielski

It seems like every other week a game studio is massively laying off employees; sometimes after years of development. What I’m reading is that it’s a quick way to lower expenses and pad the investors’ pockets, flooding the market with developers and reducing their value, to then hire them back a few months later at lower...

BlameThePeacock,

That’s exactly what will happen.

A lot of new studios will form out of the ashes of these layoffs.

That’s why you often see “from the former developers of X game” or similar in marketing for new games.

BlameThePeacock,

This game has been amazing, various alpha versions we’re often different enough to feel like entirely new games.

Definitely worth what I paid for it.

BlameThePeacock,

Harmless games, also bought and shut down by Sony.

BlameThePeacock,

Factorio’s expansion looks to be just as good as Factorio.

96% positive all time reviews, and 98% recent reviews…

It’s no wonder I have thousands of hours in this game, the devs and community are geniuses.

BlameThePeacock,

MAC addresses are per network Interface, my computer has three technically and uses two of them on a regular basis.

A terrible tracking method.

BlameThePeacock,

Not kickstarting at that price point.

What type of game do you want to play that doesn't really exist?

Have you ever played a game and wondered what if you could do something that it doesn’t really allow you to do, for example being able to move around blocks in Minecraft fluidly instead of in sectors, edit the world in Hogwarts legacy with spells, be able to fly in a world like Elden Ring or Elder Scrolls with epic sky...

BlameThePeacock,

I would like a language learning video game which is set up as a MMO, and you “reverse” level. You start with massive equipment because you need it to be able to fight the learning monsters, but as you get more proficient you get hit less(fewer mistakes) and do more damage (faster language entry) so you can start dropping equipment. So the monk running around in a loin cloth is the goal. All sorts of multi-player interactions are possible around setting up conversations, handling larger readings, etc.

BlameThePeacock,

There are multiple private servers still operating for it with updates and changes.

Some have even a few hundred concurrent online users at a time.

BlameThePeacock,

Its actually still available through private servers. The graphics aren’t terrible considering it’s age, but it’s definitely not up to modern standards.
