I am pretty excited for it. I’m going to try to hold off on buying it though. I’m still working through BG3 and Starfield comes out a week after AC6. Then not too long after that, the Cyberpunk DLC drops and I’m REALLY excited for an excuse to replay that game. I also still haven’t even started FF16.
I’m hoping that by the time I actually have time to play AC6, I can snag it on sale. There are so many amazing games coming out this month and next, it’s a very exciting time to be a gamer!
To me, Hyper Light Drifter is an all-time legendary game. Gameplay is perfect. The atmosphere is perfect. The soundtrack is absolutely perfect. The game is just perfect.
My gut reaction to this is not good. I don’t see how a 3D game could ever achieve the same level of greatness and immersion that HLD did. They set a ridiculously high bar with HLD and I’m sad tobsee that the next iteration from Heart Machine won’t expand on the foundations they laid. I can’t help but feel disappointed after seeing this but regardless I’m absolutely willing to see what they pull off with this. Fingers crossed.
Very excited for this. This was one of my favorite games on 360 when it came out. Just recently played the remastered and felt it was a bit repetitive. Hope they’re able to get some variation going with the combat for the sequel.
I still need to go through the DLC. Has anyone gone through them?
I really enjoyed Control. Just finished it the main story and AWE dlc recently. Gotta go through the foundation one now.
I loved both! I think I enjoyed Alan Wake more when I was playing it back on the 360. But looking back now I think Control is definitely the better game.AW just holds a special place with me as It was so unique for its time.
I would put Control pretty high on a list of all my favorite games. Phenomenal experience and definitely one of the highlights of games in the last few years
Releasing dlss 3.5 on old cards eh? Scared of FSR 3 or something? It’s unusual for nvidia to support anything besides the current generation these days.
Its wild to me how they can go through all these extra compute steps to generate an extra frame and that’s some how more efficient that generating one normally.
It’s probably not that much faster than or efficient than traditional rasterization, but ray-tracing gets exponentially more expensive to absolutely completely fill in the scene. For the RT scenario it actually does make sense. Even rendering out frames and animations in blender you don’t let the renderer go on forever. At some point it’s more effective to let it stop and denoise it. The earlier you can get away with doing that the better.
Yeah, I was playing armored core back before From Soft got their recognition with the Souls series and so I’m really excited we’re getting this series back. But now, with all the lessons learned from the Souls series! I’m sure it will be great, it’s just I’m a patient gamer so will still likely wait until a sale 😂
Kinda! I am a bit overloaded atm. Never finished elden ring due to an arthritis flare, absorbed with persona 5 atm, haven’t played disco Elysium yet either.
Trying to find more time for non gaming hobbies and even so a new update for oxygen not included just game out!
There’s been a glut of excellent games lately. Even stuff like Dave the diver is pretty absorbing. I’m keen to give it a go eventually though! after mechwarrior 5 proved too sloggy I’ve been a bit starved of mech games, so much so I’ll settle for weeb samuri suit shit ;p (I kid I kid it’s very silly aesthetically but we all squeeled with glee at the Pacific rim rocket punch)
I’m glad it’s not multiplayer so I can enjoy it at my leisure.
Playing at 4k+ resolutions, the difference between a well implemented quality DLSS and native ranges from barely distinguishable to objectively better because DLSS is also great anti aliasing. And even if you really need native resolution, DLAA is almost always better than any other anti aliasing method. Before DLSS 2 came out you might have had a point, but now I simply disagree with your statement.
