I played the demo for this game and it was super fun! Reminded me a lot of Chrono Trigger, but obviously more modern. The soundtrack was AMAZING! Definitely going to pick this one up.
Very excited for this. Too bad I don’t have much time to play videogames like I used to when I was a kid! There are so many games to play, and they make them so long these days.
I hope the “flashlight that goes out all the time because the batteries are trash” gameplay got reworked for the better. I like the first game, but really didn’t like the combat.
They needed to limit it somewhat because light is your most powerful weapon. Later in the game you’re even being given multiple ways of generating light.
I feel like if the takeaway was “always waiting for it to recharge”, you’re missing the point of the combat structure.
NVIDIA's AI tech is off the charts, this looks insanely good. One of the issues I have had with raytracing is you had to choose between either 1) having DLSS off so the reflections and lighting look grainy as shit, or 2) enabling DLSS so the reflections and lighting look smudgy and low res. The reflections look so goddamn sharp with the new denoiser, I can't wait to try it out.
Looks good. The original was repetitive when it comes to gameplay and not the best from Remedy, but the story and the setting were still great, so I’m glad we’re getting this sequel.
Hell yeah. This game was alright, but the soundtrack was so good I accidentally platinumed it. Also those random ass ikaruga segments were so much fun.
First I’ve heard of this but it looks like it definitely has some Chrono Trigger DNA and Yasunori effing Mitsuda involved in the music department! I will absolutely have to check this out
Very excited for this. This was one of my favorite games on 360 when it came out. Just recently played the remastered and felt it was a bit repetitive. Hope they’re able to get some variation going with the combat for the sequel.
I still need to go through the DLC. Has anyone gone through them?
