Six months ago Cohen didn’t give a flying fuck about disc drives because he was selling the idea that you would soon buy all your games from GameStop on an NFT marketplace that they recently had to shut down because the SEC is cracking down on NFTs as Securities.
He gives a fuck now because his golden goose got shot in the head.
I have an XBox One S (and a PC) - really hits home when in Game Stop with my kids and they were looking around (mainly for figures and such), and i’m like “there’s nothing for me here”. Of course I haven’t bought a physical PC title in over 10 years now that I think of it. I feel for the shop owners, they haven nothing for me to buy and I used to like going to shop around. Come to think of it I used to go to book stores quite often too, but not since i got my first kindle.
I did recently re-buy an Xbox 360 and it is kind of nice to browse second hand shops and such and just pickup a game that I can just play without internet etc.
For the best experience, and if you're only going to play through it once, Larian has released Enhanced Editions about a year after their last two releases. The same thing will probably happen here, so late next year could be good. If you play these kinds of games multiple times anyway, then it doesn't really matter. Even in the current state, it's an incredible game, so just go for it whenever.
Tl:dr Stehelski would like to do something with Michael B Jordan for Rainbow Six but no active development at the moment. Ghost of Tsushima seems more hopeful but he is keen that they would do it justice as Sucker Punch made it incredible. He would like an all Asian cast and for only parts of the movie to be in English.
Interesting for me was that he mentioned doing Highlander 2 where I don’t think we are even at Highlander 1 at the moment!
I’m not getting my hopes up for Rainbow Six after Without Remorse. Everything except the title and Character name has been changed and it turned into a generic action flick.
That's what do as well. While I was desperate waiting for BG3 to release, when it finally arrived I was totally overwhelmed by the game. It is really heavy weighted. The shear mass of possibilities and consequences makes it hard, at least for me, to relax without fomo.
I’ve played the first two hours on PS Plus and it’s excellent so far. I’m actually considering purchasing it separately on Steam just so I can play it on the Steam Deck as well 👀
I went straight for the Steam Deck version and it is a perfect handheld game. The fights don't drag on too long, and the suspend / resume is really nice to have.
It looks interesting, but I don’t like that they’re saying it’s going to be a new game. I don’t want to spend another $40 on what amounts to a new game mode. Fundamentally different new game mode, but new game mode.
