I feel like that would make them much harder to get running on different things. No compiled code means you would have to rewrite the whole game for different instruction sets. Very difficult for anything that isn’t x86.
good lord, Antares and Vega are offensively bright once you adjust to the dark.
M4!! HOLY GUACAMOLE WOW! M4 by itself made being out tonight worth it!
M80: cool, felt cool to find it, but it looks like any of the other tighter globs and I didn't want to mess with switching to one of my narrow AFOV higher power eyepieces on my manual dob. May revisit once I invest in a higher power eyepiece with a decent AFOV.
Epsilon Lyrae: hmm, am I maybe just not using enough mag? looks like a regular double star to me.
Took the telescope for a slew through Sagittarius, for a laugh, was not disappointed. Breathtaking amount of stars there.
Was all aboard the strugglebus making sense of Hercules's constellation. Didn't help that he was at the zenith, which made using the dob weird when looking for M13 and made looking at the constellation annoying after staring straight up like a turkey for minutes.
Took some time to re-acquaint myself with Draco, Cygnus, and Aquila.
Didn't pick out any more DSOs, in part because I got annoyed with blowing out my night vision, even with the red light, on my charts.
I've been fairly serious about the hobby for about 9 months now, and it seems like I saw way more satellites out tonight than I did when I stopped back in May. Bruh, the little bastards were everywhere.
I think 02 must be the sheep. Thank you for posting, I love your reviews! I’m taking a break from the alters currently because I ran into a bug and quit because I didn’t want to back track, only like 7-10 days but still I was bothered. I think I might try again this weekend. It is very interesting and emotionally provoking.
Ah! That makes sense! I wondered if there was going to be some twist in the plot where the original Jan was an alter himself (the actual #2) and the real original died with the rest of the crew. But I didn’t want to speculate and inadvertently spoil a good twist.
I’ve watched thousands of movies and TV shows and played a lot of games, and my wife gets mad at me because I’m pretty good at spotting a twist coming a mile away now. So I do my best not to speculate where the plot is going in these posts. But you’re right, it might just be as simple as counting how many clones have been made.
It’s published by the same studio (11 bit studios), but they each have different developers. 11 bit studios also created The Alters, but Starward Industries created The Invincible.
It can definitely seem unfair at times. I mentioned in another comment that it feels like the game has a story it wants to tell and it punishes you for straying too far from the plot. Fortunately, it marks your conversation choices, so if you have to redo conversations, you know which path you previously took.
I did have Rocket League on PS4 before it went F2P. If my controller actually worked I’d be down to download it again. All my PS4 controllers seemed curse to suffer a horrible fate though
