I picked up Starfield on Friday. I’m not very far into it after 12hrs. Been doing side quests and such around New Atlantis and exploring. So far, it’s fun enough. This is the first Bethesda game I’ve played since Fallout 3 (which I didn’t finish). So I’ve kinda come into this mostly blind, which I think is a good thing. It reminds me a bit of Deus Ex: HR/MD, probably because of all sidequest and explo that I’m doing.
Also restarted Triangle Strategy last week or so, after putting it down for a year or two. Had it for the Switch, but then picked it up for the Steam Deck. Been taking my time with that as well.
In FFXIV, I’m in the post-Shadowbringers DLC content. I’ve taken a bit of a break from the MSQ to get the Nier-themed alliance raids, along with the “Eden” full-party raids. I’ve so far only opened two of the three Nier alliance raids, and god are they difficult. But that difficulty means they’re tons of fun. I think I’ve got the first one down pretty well, though I’ve yet to complete it without dying at least twice due to not paying attention to boss telegraphs. The second one is gonna take me a bit more to get through without dying left and right. Prioritizing these over the “Eden” full-party raids at the moment. Did get my MCH to 90 during all the raiding, which means I now my second Lvl 90 class, the first being RDM. Think I might try a healer class next, just not sure which one.
My first leveled Tank was Gunbreaker, my first leveled DPS was Mechanist and I am myself now working on Sage to fill out my “shoot guns at it to solve your problem” Trifecta.

Are you me? I’m just a bit into the post-ShB patches, and I just finished unlocking all three Nier raids. They’re really fun (although I agree: challenging). If you happen to be on Crystal DC and want to party up for some raids or something, lmk!

As someone who is very much a non-healer main, I quite like Sage. My first healer to 90 was actually Scholar, but a lot of that had to do with the fact that I was really into Summoner for a while: when I’m going to heal I usually hop on Sage.
Dave the Diver! Every bit of the journey is fun, the game broadens in scope bit by bit, you also upgrade in increments, and the story is cute and interesting.
I’ve put a few hours in and I agree, it’s just a fun little game that slowly pushes you bit by bit into slightly more challenging stuff. I really like how well the game meshes the diving and sushi restaurant aspects, too. (Plus, I’m a scuba diver – still pretty new to it – and I’m a bit on the larger side, so it’s a nice bit of representation.)
Nicotine+ to grab what I want, EasyTAG to edit metadata, move the files to my self hosted instance of Ampache which I can then access either with SublimeMusic on desktop or SubStreamer on my phone if I’m traveling.
the only case i could see it stopping someone is if they just pirate for funsies and have the disposable income to buy anything they want lmao. if you need something and cant afford it then inconveniences and annoyances don’t matter
Of course it is. I bought a product I can no longer use without signing away privacy after the fact. Not that I’ve played Minecraft in the last 10 years but still.
It’s a shame Minecraft got bought and put on the windows store and mobile. For a while there kids actually learned what java was and had to move files around to install mods and skins. Now they’re all computer illiterate again.
I know you bought your car 10 years ago, but you refused to make an account with the company that bought your car dealer out after you bought a car from them, so now we’re repossessing it.
It’s been 10 years since what? Since Microsoft bought Mojang? So you’re saying you’re okay if in 10 years Microsoft takes away your copy of Skyrim or Call of Duty unless you give them your phone number?
Marcus Persson left Mojang in 2014. Qanon wasn’t a thing (even as a 4chan meme) back then. He began to spiral back in 2016, which I can’t say I blame him for. A history of mental illness combined with unlimited money and moving countries while being heralded as a god of video games in the media would fuck anyone of us up I think.
Why? I didn’t pay to have a Microsoft account. I can’t make just a Minecraft account, they require my full name and date of birth to make a microsoft account. That’s an entirely different dynamic than the Mojang account that requires literally no personal information. I didn’t agree to give Microsoft my information when I bought the game, and I have no obligation to do so. They, however, have an obligation to allow me to access the game that I’ve paid for in perpetuity.
I have a SCUF Reflex FPS for the games that don’t need the adaptive trigger feature, and the regular one for the ones that do. They are expensive af, but I have joint hypermobility and the FPS version is the one that my hands hurt the least with, and it’s the one I most heavily use. The paddle shape and position fits my hand and it’s super lightweight.
SCUF has a reputation for poor quality control, but my FPS lived through the poorest treatment for a year, until the left trigger finally died. They don’t have a large warranty, but they repaired my controller without coverage for ~50€, and threw in a case (it’s included now, but wasn’t when I bought it) and thumbstick replacements when they sent it back.
i have no idea what connection you think there is between piracy and adblockers. if anything, wouldn’t killing all adblockers encourage more piracy, not less?
I don’t see how these two things correlate. Private trackers don’t have ads on them and many public ones that require an account don’t either. Are you still downloading things through a browser with jdownloader?
