Good initiative, but it feels a like the precursor to becoming a legit business.

This feels like the technoanarchist version of Little Free Libraries lol.

user, do piracy w Z-Library Opens ‘Z-Points’ Around the World to Share Paper Books

will they scan the book into pdf and make available online? that would be great.

nestEggParrot,

Isnt that their current offering? But also yes as the article speaks of digitizing.

I wonder what they’ll name it if they ever come to Slovakia or Czech republic. “Z-Points” are personal pick-up points of the Packeta delivery service.

Varyk, do piracy w Z-Library Opens ‘Z-Points’ Around the World to Share Paper Books

Wow that’s amazing. Decentralized libraries. I gotta look up there these zpoints are.

pedroapero,

This link might be more relevant (sorry I did not find it in the first place): zlibrary-redirect.se/inter-library

Varyk,

Oh, awesome, I actually couldn’t find the locations through Google, thanks. New York and Texas so far in the states, it’s really cool that it’s an international program.

Really curious what their business and infrastructure plan is for this.

jsdz, do piracy w Z-Library Opens ‘Z-Points’ Around the World to Share Paper Books

They don’t have a lot of locations yet, but by sheer good luck they do have one near me. Looks like an excellent way to get rid of some books when I some day get around to clearing out some space on a shelf.

until a few years ago nobody gave a fuck if you pirated anything in italy. in the last 10 years everything went crazy

kambusha, do piracy w DAZN's Early Piracy Targets May Include U.S. Govt. Domain Seizure Survivors * TorrentFreak

The frustrating part is that I have DAZN, but because they don’t have rights to all the competitions I’m interested in, I still have to pirate to watch them. If I had a menu and could choose competitions and even buy one-off games at-will (at a reasonable price), I wouldn’t resort to pirating at all for sports.

odium,

Same thing with movies and tv shows. I have prime, but it is missing a lot.

loudWaterEnjoyer, do piracy w Which VPN Providers Really Take Privacy Seriously in 2023? * TorrentFreak
@loudWaterEnjoyer@lemmy.dbzer0.com avatar

If someone starts his list with NordVPN you know its complete and utter bullshit

Ilandar,

That’s not how the annual Torrentfreak VPN questionnaire works.

loudWaterEnjoyer,
@loudWaterEnjoyer@lemmy.dbzer0.com avatar

It doesn’t work good if they act like all those providers are a considerable choice

Ilandar,

They don’t. I suspect you haven’t actually read one of these articles in detail.because it is in no way a recommendation from TorrentFreak. It literally opens with this:

The VPN review business is also flourishing as well. Just do a random search for “best VPN service” or “VPN review” and you’ll see dozens of sites filled with recommendations and preferred picks. Some VPN companies, such as Kape, even own review sites.

At TF we don’t want to make any recommendations. When it comes to privacy and anonymity, an outsider can’t offer any guarantees. Vulnerabilities are always lurking around the corner and even with the most secure VPN, you still have to trust the VPN company with your data.

Instead, we aim to provide an unranked overview of VPN providers, asking them questions we believe are important. Many of these questions relate to privacy and security, and the various companies answer them in their own words.

We hope that this helps users to make an informed choice. However, we stress that users themselves should always make sure that their VPN setup is secure, working correctly, and not leaking. Also, we advise people to properly research the company behind the VPN service.

NordVPN appears first because it is a sponsor, as is clearly stated:

*Note: Private Internet access, ExpressVPN and NordVPN are TorrentFreak sponsors. We reserve the first three spots for them as a courtesy. This article also includes a few affiliate links which help us pay the bills. We never sell positions in our review article or charge providers for a listing.

The same questions are put to every VPN provider on the list. It is unranked - whether they first or last is completely irrelevant.

1337?

lessthanthree,

I was having trouble adding this on to Prowlarr. Anyone know what’s up with that?

CmdrShepard,

I think it’s been having issues the last few days. I’ve had it on there and Jackett previously for years without issue but I haven’t been able to connect for a few days now.

1337x.to works fine

CmdrShepard,

Yes the site works fine but Prowlarr was having trouble connecting to it, possibly a rate limiting issue, but I think it may have been resolved now as I didn’t notice the warning in radarr when adding movies last night.

Can some send me a PM with those things that allows you to have access to torrent freak? I’m not asking for an invite, you know………… not an invite, but the ability to be part of the private tracker …. Not asking for an invite ……

Matth78,

TorrentFreak is only a blog about news related to piracy. Either it’s evolution or fight against it.

As far as I know they don’t operate anything enabling you to pirate things !?! I don’t understand where you got that idea? Or it’s not something I knew and it isn’t apparent on their website.

I quote from the about section :

“TorrentFreak is a publication dedicated to bringing the latest news about copyright, privacy, and everything related to filesharing. We are not a news aggregator but focus on unique and fresh stories. TorrentFreak is where news and copyright issues collide.”

dystop,

“access to torrentfreak”??

Here you go, it’s a universal unlimited invite: www.torrentfreak.com

I just switched to qBittorrent and used built-in search to find rarbg rips.

Fiorenzo,

qBittorrent

You think that something similar is possible with Transmission?

Caligvla,
@Caligvla@lemmy.dbzer0.com avatar

Last I checked Transmission doesn’t have a built-in search. You could use Jackett or Prowlarr with it to get a similar experience.

monstoor,

For my needs, I use qBittorrent with jackett. Both excellent tools!

How about you don’t charge $350 so I can watch the cowboys suck ass for 17 games, goodell. The cowboys are a huge market so for the most part I can get by pretty easy but I can’t imagine how much it sucks to be like an out of state Titans fan.
