If your mass storage is full, any excess is wasted, so you should always try to make sure that it is being spent on something useful. SC1/FA incentivizes a constant balancing of your economy.
You can reclaim mass from dead units (even civilians), buildings, rocks, trees etc. Trees also give a bunch of energy which can be useful very early on. A failed attack will quite often turn out to be a mass donation that gets recycled into an army for realiation. All of this might be balanced differently between the different versions of the game, so I can’t be sure that it applies all that well to base SC1 vs. FA or even FAF.
Don’t build all your energy reactors in a big cluster if you can help it. One well placed attack will blow the whole thing up in a chain reaction. On the other hand, sabotaging your opponents power grid is often a solid strategy.
If anyone is interested in FAF and wants to take a look at some different levels of gameplay, check out GyleCast on YouTube.
Sorry, no idea. I think I’ve only ever watched other people play multiplayer supcom and the few tutorials I watched were for Forged Alliance Forever. This is the kind of stuff I was watching a decade ago. Check it out if you’re into old gameplay videos with a crusty mic track. :D
I already sold it pretty hard in other threads so I will give it a break but in short it is a free moddable tactical shooter with vehicles and realistic ballistics.
Nothing too fancy, but certainly enough to get me by until i upgrade the GPU. I have a Ryzen 3700x i bought used, 32 GB of DDR4 RAM, a 1 TB NVME SSD and a 250 GB HDD, and a Radeon RX 7600 XT 16 GB. I planned it around having a bit of wiggle room to upgrade. The CPU is probably fine, but the GPU i want to upgrade eventually. Maybe not now, but someday
TLDRr/no-sleep material where husband keeps playing a sim game until he eventually becomes the character he modelled after himself in the game.
This reminds me of a no sleep material from reddit that I read, in that story there was a husband who kept playing a sims like game. He created himself and his wife in the game, even going as dar as naming them after themselves and creating the sim in a way that it resembled them and modelling the house after theirs. He kept role playing and playing that game for hours that it did affect his relationship with his wife and she was generally unhappy with him, at one point when he kept playing he noticed that his irl wife was getting distant and distant, meanwhile the sim wife was really happy with her husband. There are a lot that happens in between and then the story goes that one day he noticed his wife was really happy with him. But there was something weird with her, her eyes always fixated straight not showing much emotion other than the smile when she told him she loves him. It was like her wife went from really unhappy to happy but still weird. He passed his days doing his job, coming back to his house playing the sim game on his PC afterwards, his wife was not even bothered about it. One morning they were watching the TV together and she kept saying the same thing over and over again, he knew something was wrong and then he realised almost everyone in his work and other social setting was like that, he realised he has became a character in his own sim game.
