I’m dealing with thumb injuries, so I’ve mostly been playing Vampire Survivors for the last few weeks. WASD and no mouse is perfect to let my thumbs heal.
I only just bought it recently. I’m still working through unlocking everything and just beat my first Inverted level, which took me quite a few attempts. I also realize that I probably shouldn’t be trying to kill Death on Inverted mode, but I’ve been building around that goal each game…
Really fun game. I prefer Soulstone Survivors, but I can’t play it with my thumbs rn!
Yeah local coop came out about a week or two ago! You can do remote play together on steam, but performance has been pretty shitty. It’s still been a lot of fun though!
Trying not to commit to anything too strenious with Lies of P and Starfield on the horizon, but I have found the time to start two games over the last few days. Those games are:
XCOM: Chimera Squad
It’s an XCOM game. I’ll probably play a it until I inevitably make a mess of the base management stuff and find my city in ruins, you know, like every other XCOM game that’s come out over the last decade.
The Life And Sufferings of Sir Brante
I started this today and I’m kind of blown away by it in all honesty. It’s a story heavy RPG where you play the role a child born into a semi-noble family. During the game you’ll do an awful lot of reading and then make decisions and judgements based on the character your playing. I’m maybe 2 hours in so far and it’s unlike anything I’ve ever played.
For me it was amazing. I felt that the 2.5 D was the best implementation of this type of mechanic I had ever seen. The way stuff from behind the environment comes into the 2D plain and interacts with the player is awesome. Extremely polished, very well animated, amazing visual tone, great atmosphere. Great semi scripted sequences, fantastic setpieces and (for me) an incredible ending (though disturbing).
I started back up the first Blasphemous after finally getting around to figuring out cloud saves on the steam deck (I just forced the windows build). I'd definitely like to get through it and into 2, but I feel like I'm bombarded with huge games I need to play this fall. It might work as a game I can play while watching TV. I started back up while watching 24 (I loved it when I was younger, but watching back I really didn't recognize just how great the writing was.)
I'm still hooked hard on BG3, though. A fucking lot of hours in and I'm still on act 1.
I presently have both uBlockorigin and Brave’s native adblockers at work, so not sure how it slipped through there. Definitely gonna look at the userscript manager though
dont do that if you are gonna play to use ublock origin stick to ublock origin as braves built in adblock can interfere with ublock origin which can make sites slower to load
movie and tv streaming and sports. I wonder if it wasn’t one of the sports sites as it was a sports betting pop up, but the susflix was the only site that seemed to have anything bad according to the virustotal site.
probably but it was on the FMHY wiki with a star, so idk. Kinda weird that one of the best and most trusted pirated resources would have a malware site listed as one of the best options
General discussion of illegal activities is legal, but distributed methods/keys/software to bypass DRM is not. In addition to the poster getting in trouble, the admins of multiple instances could at minimum be forced to delete the content, and at worst get their asses kicked by Nentendo’s legal team, and be forced to reveal the identities of the user that posted it.
In my jurisdiction downloading pirated stuff is perfectly legal. It’s only illegal when you’re distributing it. And even for jurisdictions where it’s not legal even to download pirated stuff, companies don’t much care about people who download, but only those who upload and as far as I know, you can discuss pirating all you want and nothing’s illegal.
