Tomb Raider Anniversary was dirt-cheap on Steam so I bought it. As a remake it feels a whole lot smoother to play compared to the 1996 original, no tank controls. I also installed ReShade and a couple of texture upscale mods to make it more pleasant-looking, with add-on enhanced ReShade I could also use ray-traced global illumination.
I played BattleBit Remastered for the first time since August and I really need to hone my skills.
I also several demos on Steam, News Tower really got me hooked with its gameplay. The full game should release on Early Access in a couple days, might as well buy it.
My RX 6850 decided to die on me, just when I finally had the motivation to continue BG3 and/or The Outer Worlds. So I’ve been playing mostly Vampire Survivors on the Deck. Had some catching up to do on the new content anyway.
IMO, Street Fighter has a lower skill floor and is easier to get into, and MK has a higher skill ceiling so its more rewarding and fun for players who master it.
As a kid me and my cousin didnt see the point of strafing\locking on. Then years later on the hd collection i found the games so much easier and kept wondeing why untill it hit me that i never used strafe untill then
Dodge Offset in Bayonetta. I played through 1&2 a couple times over before even becoming aware of it.
It’s a totally different game once you wrap your head around it. My opinion of Bayo 1 went way up as a result - Dodge Offset is the glue that holds the combat together and is the key differentiating feature from all other character action games.
I love Derail Valley, though I absolutely suck at it. I don’t want to look up spoilers online, but I have been playing for 3 months and I still haven’t found the slug, and I am still mostly hauling stuff around with 3 DE-2s. I’m excited for when they add in NPC trains, though I have no clue how that will work with the current map.
I honestly think the price is very reasonable, given the amount of playtime you can easily sink into this game. And compared to other train simulators, where each new track and each new locomotive costs another 10€, this is incredibly cheap.
Tatsu from Xenoblade Chronicles X is a really annoying little dude. I watched my buddy play through and every time he said anything he’d tell the tv “shut up Tatsu.” It’s arguably more aggravating because the game seems aware of his annoyance since one of the main characters is constantly suggesting she cook him into a dish to eat. I’d say that would be the best outcome.
