I’ve spent a truly mind blowing amount of time on MissionChief. They don’t give exact stats, but I’d say I’ve played at least 2k hours over the last 4 years

Just got project wingman since it released on ps5. Coming literally straight from ac:7, it’s insane just how good it is for an indie that exists because people wanted more ace combat games. Weapon selection is slightly more annoying, using the dpad, which is annoying since you have to take your thumb off the stick, but other than that, it’s the same stuff.

ezures,

As a big fan of the game, hope you enjoy it.

After looking it up, theres a new campaign thats ps exclusive, now I’m kinda envious

Damn, every single reviewer is salty that an Assassin’s Creed game turned out to be an Assassin’s Creed game. I bet not a single one of them finished the game before penning their reviews.

Delta V: Rings of Saturn

Such an atmospheric and cosy game. I’m a sucker for hard sci-fi and games that try to simulate real physics to the greatest extent possible.

Stardew Valley for the third or fourth time. Still as nice and calming as the last time. Such a beautiful little perfect game.

TheLongPrice,

1.6 patch will drop soon hopefully

Jagged Alliance 3.

Love me some turn based, action point, squad combat action. Theres some flaws and its a bit limited in a few ways, but its a solid title.

Wish the genre got more love.

r1veRRR, do gaming w What type of game you want to see that doesn't fully exist yet?

I want a shooter-esque game crossed with MOBA stuff. Basically, I just want Monday Night Combat, Battleborn or Gigantic to come back.

ideonella,

I miss Monday Night Combat’s vibe a lot

Trying out a new build in Path of Exile. Recently got into the game and it’s actually pretty good, I wish I started playing years ago though because there’s so much content 😅

I want to switch to something else soon so I don’t burn myself out on the game.

zachary3752,

The nice thing with Path of Exile is that you can always play next league and try out other content and systems.

I’d suggest picking one or two systems and just really learning those each league instead of attempting everything all at once.

joemo,

Thanks! Been trying to do that as there’s just so much to learn. I’ve stuck to a few build guides (started playing midway through Crucible). I found a build that I like and it’s fun (RF inquis, nice walking simulator 😅) but it struggles doing content that I like (bossing). So I’m trying out a DD Elementalist with the hopes of next league maybe being just a one build guy and respecing once I get some currency.

I have been able to get two voidstones, and the Maven seems doable as my RF but when I read about the fight I must have ignored that last phase and had horrible placement on those pools.

I want to complete all the end game bosses first and then I’ll try to do a deep dive on the passive tree and maybe try my own builds or something.

zachary3752,

Yeah RF is an amazing mapper but not a great bosser. Sometimes I’ll make two builds. One to blast through mapping and one to nuke down bosses.

Or you can use Explosive Arrow which currently does everything well lol

DM’ing my first DnD campaign ever with some of my friends, all of us are new. Besides that, Cyberpunk for the second time, and Baldur’s Gate for a fourth time with a friend who just got the game.

ampersandrew,
@ampersandrew@kbin.social avatar

I'm trying to make D&D happen since playing Baldur's Gate. Scheduling will be hard. I GMed one tabletop game of Cyberpunk 2020 about ten years ago, and I played in a short campaign of Star Wars: Edge of the Empire, so I'm not totally new to tabletop RPGs, but I'm new to D&D. I'm going to make it happen one way or another though. I'm too deep into D&D Beyond looking up spells and level up guides at this point.

Moonguide,

I was looking into Cyberpunk! Reading through my files I realized I got the sourcebook with the game. Ended up getting Carbon 2185 and already looking into making some homebrew systems to take it into a shadowrun esque bent. Will have to talk my guys into that one though, some of them aren’t interested in a cyberpunk run, maybe once I pitch those HBs they’ll get into it.

I had to take up DM duties for this run and assure everyone I’d take it easy on them, so they can learn systems and all. Turns out I really like world building and planning sessions, but RPing characters is really hard for me. I got a very monotone voice and my range of accents is very limited. Making up for it with a ton of planning though. I’ll make sure to pass on my workflow to whomever ends up DMing after me.

Do Worlds Without Number instead of DnD. Trust me.
I also started with DnD and slowly realized it’s not a very good ttrpg.
You’ll see when your players start sighing deeply everytime combat starts because everyone knows that this will take the whole evening.

Moonguide,

Hm, gonna look into it. Combat has been fun with my PCs honestly. I’ll ask for feedback once the campaign is over.

totallymojo,
@totallymojo@ttrpg.network avatar

WWN is free, so I highly recommend!
I’ll be happy if you at least take a quick look at other ttrpgs. :D

DnD is obviously the most famous one by far. The problem is that it’s so famous, most people don’t think that there are in fact other games out there, often with newer ideas and better design, faster and easier mechanics that does not get in the way.

There is also different styles to consider.
The combat focused every PC is an unkillable superhero powertrip style fantasy, like DnD5e and Pathfinder.
The lethal think before you act type old school style fantasy.
The narrative Powered by the Apocalypse style games.
The investigative thriller type GUMSHOE and Call of Cthulhu games.
Etc etc.

Im running my favorite of all time game Delta Green (great podcast here if you want to listen) as the main game right now and Forbidden Lands in between, for our fantasy fix. Great games as well!

I’ve been playing heaps of Alpha Sapphire on the 3DS, on and off, and really delighted to find that the online mmo-lite elements are still working. So I’m mostly wandering around finding other people’s secret bases, trading and then spending way too much time using Pokemon Amie. This game is lovely, and I’m still finding new things in it. I think it might be my favourite Pokemon game.
