I would be blown to bits by a black scottish cyclops and then get buried in a soup can

Knights of the Old Republic. It holds up pretty well, with a few mods for widescreen and resolution support.

I guess I’m dying…

Of laughter at Drax and the banter of the other guardians. Or killed by some flarking space weirdo.

Well, I’m lost in this ever-changing burning basement and have to shoot my tears at all these weird enemies and hope I find some good power-ups, and hope I can evade Mom. (Binding of Isaac)

Baldur’s Gate 3 - It’s my second run. Part of what I love about these games is that you’ll find new things and different approaches with every play-through. And with every run you get a little more daring and in-character with how you react to situations.
First time round I can’t help but play little miss goody two-shoes, just staying true to my own nature. Second time I feel a bit more daring and actually try to act like the self-centered anti-hero I had in mind for this character. Who knows, maybe some day I’ll even dare to play a villain :)

Playing coop with my friend. It’s so much fun. It’s kinda hard not to mention spoilers, choices or things we’ve done in our main games though hahah. There’s so many choices and branches…

Lileath, do gaming w Do you know any good JRPGs with engaging gameplay similar to SMT?
@Lileath@lemmy.blahaj.zone avatar

Does it have to be a JRPG? If you want tactics in your turn-based games I recommend looking into cRPGs as the genre originally started as adaptions of tabletop games and has way deeper tactics compared to most JRPGs. Stuff like the Baldur’s Gate games, Dragon Age, Wasteland, Divinity: Original Sin 1+2 or Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura are all turn-based or real-time with pause which work similar enough to count. As a plus point most of them allow you to be rather creative in the way you play from stuff like talking an opponent into killing themselves to turning opponents into chicken and letting them bleed out with another skill.

nightdice, do gaming w Do you prefer playing with Keyboard or controller more, and for what type of games?
@nightdice@feddit.de avatar

Really depends on the game. I usually get a lot faster and more precise adjustments using KBM, so I prefer that for games like shooters and anything where precise 3d movement or fast reactions is an issue.

Basically the only games I play with controller are the ones that are really well optimised for controller and kind of meh for KBM and the ones on my Switch.

I drown or get eaten by aggressive fauna.

The world of Subnautica is not a friendly place for the unprepared.

Thelsim, do gaming w Do you prefer playing with Keyboard or controller more, and for what type of games?

It really depends on where I play. Behind the PC it’s definitely mouse and keyboard, it just doesn’t feel comfortable to play with a controller while sitting in my office chair.
Everything else is controller, but it’s not like you have much choice in those situations :)

I spend all day at work with a keyboard and mouse, so I try to use a controller for absolutely everything else

Controller: Witcher, Cyberpunk, Senua’s Sacrifice, Shadow of War/Mordor

Mouse and Keyboard: Diablo, things that end in “Craft”

HOSAS: Flying things
