vagrantprodigy,

For me it was super boring until I left Constellation, fun for 10 or so hours after that, super boring for a few more, and now I haven’t played it in over 2 months.

vagrantprodigy,

CK3 was the last straw for me. It’s been years, and the DLC released is both expensive and lacking in the mechanics of CK2.

Well, Cities: Skylines 2 is here, and it's another broken game release. angielski

I don’t really understand how people make the review threads, but we’re sitting at a 77 on OpenCritic right now. Many were worried about game performance after the recommended specs were released, but it looks like it’s even worse than we expected. It sounds like the game is mostly a solid release except for the...

vagrantprodigy,

It feels like every Paradox sequel is worse than the previous game lately. CK3 is garbage compared to CK2 for instance, even after years of DLC.

vagrantprodigy,

They also changed their philosophy so fewer and worse DLC, at least for CK. It does not appear that CK3 will ever have feature parity with CK2.

vagrantprodigy,

Only 2000 hours in 19 years? Doesn’t feel right, but I guess many of my games aren’t from Steam.

vagrantprodigy,

Honestly Baldurs Gate 3 is what really makes it look bad. Playing Starfield after playing that highlights all of the shallowness in Starfield.

vagrantprodigy,

Exactly. They should take this as the warning it is, and start work on moving to an engine not run by morons.

vagrantprodigy,

Kind of. In the past investors were willing to be more patient, and company values were artificially high, because they were based on potential profits rather than actual profits. That’s shifting a bit as interest rates go up.

vagrantprodigy,

I’ve got nearly the same specs (5800x and 6700XT), and mine crashes fairly often.

vagrantprodigy,

I told my wife I’d have been thrilled to get this game in 2016. In 2023 it does feel dated though, If they don’t update the engine significantly before their next game it may actually hurt sales.

vagrantprodigy,

My first few hours weren’t fun, and I nearly stopped playing. It started getting fun when I abandoned the main quest and went out on my own.

vagrantprodigy,

lol, no they didn’t. They didn’t even test adequately, more than a few GPUs that meet the requirements didn’t work when early access launched.

vagrantprodigy,

It’s system by system, I have the same cpu and do fairly well, admittedly with it boosting to 4.5ghz. My wife has the same cpu and it struggles on her machine. It feels like the game just wasn’t tested well.

vagrantprodigy,

I know they don’t want to switch, but it would be worth it to make the swap to something like unreal, even if it takes a few years of customization to get the open world stuff right. Creation Engine just feels so old.

vagrantprodigy,

I can’t get past the intro mission, it always crashes, and takes my whole PC with it.

vagrantprodigy,

My kid has had smooth sailing with their well below specs PC. Makes me wonder what specs they used to test the game.

vagrantprodigy,

Wonder if the cracked version crashes when starting a new game like the steam version does…

vagrantprodigy,

No overlays running, still crashes. I’m seeing quite a few people reporting this online, both with AMD and Nvidia, and of course Intel cards don’t work at all on this game.

vagrantprodigy,

I just my kid a 2TB ssd for $60. 1TB can be found under $30 lately.
