I’m still jamming on PalWorld. Set up a dedicated server and have 4 other people who hop on randomly and play, it’s great to come across them while exploring. It feels like an alive world. Almost level 50 and breeding all the uber monsters with 4 legendary stats. This game just scratches all the right itches, and it doesn’t even have the quests, raids, or other content they are planning yet. Too fun.
Personally, it’s Faith from Farcry 5 for me. Uninteresting dialog that can be summed up to “I was bullied once” and that’s it. Literally every other character is so much more interesting. Jacob gives you a sequence where you run through a gulag which he then uses against you, John tries to kill you and is openly hateful...
Literally every single character in the newest Pokemon game. The entire narrative is so god damned insufferable. I‘ll never buy another Pokemon game again unless it’s like Arceus and has less narrative.
Naw fam. I have an Xbox series X and game pass and I’m ecstatic to hear that Microsoft may be doing this. This will buy them the good will of all gamers and they know it. Fucking Chad move by MSFT if true.

Definitely ark. Once you get a nice community server with ORP mods and adjusted rates it’s great. But still spent 200 hours on loading screens trying to get the damn thing to work.
You don’t want to build much anyway, because you need every inch of your base ring for pal stations, but yeah. We have a 1x1 lean-to with 2 beds in it, the rest is the massive fucking breeding operation we’ve set up
Game Freak will learn absolutely nothing from this, except “People like Pokemon, lets crank out one every 6 months instead of yearly and make them even shittier!”
All the people blaming “clickbait youtubers” or “AI bots” for this game blowing up are idiots. Its actually fun, it delivers a satisfying game loop that no pokemon game ever has, and it has support for multiplayer. It’s big enough to explore a lot, has a deep tech tree to unlock, some pretty interesting base automation mechanics, and over 100 pokemon to discover and catch, and a surprisingly robust breeding system to unlock new pokemon instead of evolving. It’s just FUN, and lots of games lately lack that. Despite it being buggy and early access, its very playable. I hosted a dedicated server and my friends and I can play together and explore and adventure and find bosses, and work on our base together. Haven’t had a game that lets me do that in a long time.

Ark is so good! Do you have any adjusted collection rates or mods? I have been looking for another friendly community server to get back into the game. I have about 2k hours on steam in Ark, but I only play on chill servers with nice people, and usually we have to form those ourselves
I am still getting through Red Dead 2, just got back into it recently. Playing some Red Dead Online with a buddy too. Roleplaying an outlaw is loads of fun!
I’d be happy to provide any advice or assistance if you want to start hosting! In terms of gameplay, get some good collection Dinos! Collecting by hand is designed to be too slow. Get a nice trike for thatch and berry collection. Get a beaver for wood, and an armadillo guy for stone and flint. Then you can go out and do massive collection runs in just a few minutes to restock all your basic resources. Getting a bronto is awesome for berries but a bit overkill. Trikes do great for swiping berries up in mass quantities! Then you can get enough narco berries to tame more. It’s all about taming! Get a slingshot and shoot some low level pterosaurs for a nice quick flyer.
I’ve had zero interest in anything Square Enix makes except the new Super Mario RPG, because otherwise it’s all weird ass weeb shit with the most convoluted storylines that need an undergraduate degree in the lore to understand it. I doubt AI will make that less of a problem.
Try again and stick with it. I had to do it three or four times and now I’m hooked. Just about to finally beat the game which is rare for me. And it took a year, but it’s one I always want to come back to
I’d like to respectfully say you’re fucking dead wrong. The display is gorgeous, the increased framerate is amazing, the battery life is SO MUCH BETTER and it downloads games and launches faster. On top of having more storage space on the LE edition. And the charge cable is LONGER. I was actually able to play over 3 hours of deep rock on a flight and still have some charge left. If you use the device a lot it’s a massive upgrade.
You got it crooked. 60hz to 90hz is a lot more than 1-2 frames. “A brighter screen” okay guess you don’t know what HDR is and have never seen the difference between LED and OLED. “A bit more battery” got me from 90 minutes of gaming to over 3 hours. For someone who actually uses the thing constantly, it’s huge. But continue to be ignorant because I doubt what I wrote will change that.
