They should have swapped a couple of the conch rewards, so you get a flimsy hammer at 60 and the true ending at 48. Pushing your players into an extra 5 hours of searching just kills the game’s pacing
As far as video game adaptations go these days, this actually seems pretty true to the source material.
Uh… What? Look at the casting- Roland should be a straight-man (in comedy terms) but they’ve cast Kevin Hart to tell his typically unfunny cracks. And while I love Kate Blanchett she is not a good fit to play Lilith
Not only that, they probably would have been better off not using the original 4 playable characters since every game comes with a new set. Just make sure the side characters are done well and you keep the same feel as the games and it should have been an easy win
Hopefully it’s a bit more polished since DOOM 2016 is an example of the system being used really well. I found the first game to be a bit clunky at times
I would recommend playing the first game (it’s good, though it is showing some age). Apart from that: no, you don’t really need to know the lore to follow along. And the comments in this thread have given more than enough background to follow it.
That being said, if you’re interested in the lore I’ve been listening to a podcast called “Laying Down the Lore Warhammer 40k”. I found it entertaining and informative
Any company that isn’t completely incompetent has some revision control solution like GitHub. It saves the original and all the changes throughout the life of the code. It’s designed specifically to allow developers to update or even delete code while still maintaining records
I don’t know where this contractor bullshit is coming from; if anything that should be aimed at Microsoft.
TBF, Valve does hire contractors to help work on Proton and Steam OS. I have no idea what the terms and compensation are, I’m just pointing out that they do hire contractors
