The devs rushing the game out half added results in them getting $225M. So they have incentive to be shitty too. I don’t know enough about any of them to say which is more likely but that logic goes both ways.
Just bought a laptop and put bazzite on it to try it out and figure out if I can do all the things I want to do on it. If that all works out I’ll be switching my desktop over.
Yea just set up a windows 11 pc for the first time and the experience was basically:
It forces you into making a Microsoft account or log in with one, then it told me mine was locked even though I was able to log in fine elsewhere. I had to use the alternate log in method to get in (I know you can make a local account but I already had one set up for this).
Then it tries to force you to “back up from your old pc” which this was an entirely different system so I’m not even sure why I would want that.
Then it tries to convince you to send them a bunch of telemetry while reminding you that you’ll still get ads if you don’t, they just won’t be targeted towards you.
Then it tries to push microsoft office on you.
Then it needs to do updates which took like 45 minutes.
Then you’re finally at the desktop where you get probably half a dozen othe pop ups between windows and the vendor.
Then it’s “usable”
By comparison Bazzite took like 20 minutes to get to a usable desktop and isn’t nagging me about ads at all. I have a laundry list of things still to figure out but so far way less annoying.
Yea, I had a throwaway account already to use for the login so I didn’t bother trying it. They still managed to make it annoying even when I did it their way and agreed it is horseshit.
Agreed.
I DID forget about that. Thanks for reminding me I need to figure out how to opt out (assuming it’s even possible).
A few days ago, EA re-released two of its most legendary games: The Sims and The Sims 2. Dubbed the “The Legacy Collection,” these could not even be called remasters. EA just put the original games on Steam with some minor patches to make them a little more likely to work on some modern machines....

I can’t think of another example where a title with a 2 in it had a story that took place before the first one. The closest I can think of is The Godfather 2 (assuming I’m even remembering right) and that had the prequel parts as flashbacks within a story that took place after the first one.
There’s Red Dead Revolver, Red Dead Redemption and Red Dead Redemption 2. Revolver is thematically similar but beyond that isn’t related to the other two. RDR and RDR2 are continuing the same story but the events of RDR2 take place before RDR.
I love when completely innocent people say things like “no wrongdoing was acknowledged" and “no criminal charges have ever been brought against me”. I was suspicious before, but if there were no criminal charges then who cares, right? Right?
Personally I don’t think these people should be having private conversations with minors at all. It’s fucking weird and stupid and just leaves them open to this kind of allegations.
It is grindy but for the most part not so grindy that it gets boring unless RNG really fucks you. You can accomplish most individual goals (ie. Farming parts for a particular gun or frame) within a few hours. Also you need pay to win currency for some things but its easy to get items you can sell to other players for that so really you don’t need to spend money on the game at all. It’s a lot of fun. I probably have more time in Warframe than just about anything else. Except maybe Wow.
One time back in Halo 3 in a FFA game I killed everyone else on the map twice before I died, and that death was from a grenade I threw to finish someone off when I ran out of ammo and had to melee him. I have never felt that powerful before or since.
apparently this is in response to a few threads on Reddit flaming Starfield—in general, it’s been rather interesting to see Bethesda take what i can only describe as a “try to debate Starfield to popularity” approach with the game’s skeptics in the past month or two. not entirely sure it’s a winning strategy,...
to clear a room you mine this leaves a floor and ceiling.
For stairs up/down stairs allow you to go up or down from the layer they are on. This requires stairs on the layer you are moving to as well. Down stairs go only down up stairs go only up.
To remove the floor from a layer you would use channel, this leaves a ramp on the lower layer that allows movement up and down. These can be removed.
to mine a stairwell you need to press m, t then select the square and move up or down however many layers you want to go and then click again, that will designate those blocks to be cut into stairs (it will show the stairs but they will not actually be stairs there until a dwarf does the mining). This will designate a down stair at the top layer you select and an up stair at the bottom with up/down stairs in between. you need to have a dwarf assigned to mining to do this.
You can build them in the construction menu as well but that requires you to have already mined out the area you are building in so it takes longer.
If the above doesn’t work post a screen shot of what yours looks like.
I have like 1000 hours in Warframe and only spent like 20$ on it. Even that wasn’t really necessarily. You can farm shit and easily make enough of the in game money for what you need selling it to other players.
