Remedy Entertainment. They have been making banger after banger in my opinion, all the way back to Max Payne (and i wasted so many hours on Death Rally). Always heavy focus on plot, and well developed gameplay. Memorable soundtracks on most cases too.

“it’s just light” might be the understatement of the century, lol. What makes a big lot of the differences of how a game looks and CGI in a movie looks is how light is being calculated in the scene.

Yeah but an HDD happens to be rather slow to load these games. Specially with the bigger ones, obviously. So then you need SSD, which aren’t that cheap nor big.

Help deciding PC upgrades

So…I’ve been increasingly struggling to run the latest games, as the age of my 6 years old desktop is starting to show, and Starfield denying my GPU just pissed me. Thanks! Yeah, maybe I can consider a 6700xt and other minor upgrades, like getting a NVME, an extra 16GB of RAM…It’s a relief knowing that the power supply will hold!

Thanks, it seems the M.2 takes SATA and PCIe. I have two slots for them. And it would seem its speed won’t be affected. At any rate, I only have the GPU slot in use (and another small one for the WifiGig thingy for the wireless Vive).

Thanks for all these considerations. I’m still undecided, but a whole rush of stuff came in, so I’m going to have to wait for the upgrade/replacement for at least a couple months…I’ll see what the market looks like in a bit.

Yeah, I think it’s probably having to do with how Wine/Lutris emulates the Windows version, that makes it think it’s an older version. I’ll try on a real Windows partition…

Wouldn’t using an additional virtual layer for storage affect performance during load/save and normal asset streaming? I guess this might work for older games, but for newer games I don’t see how performance won’t be hit.

To those who use IPTV services, why? angielski

There are quite a few cheap IPTV subscriptions out there with 50k+ channels, but my question is, why do you still watch live TV? With piracy, you can grab any movie or TV show you want and watch it on demand with Jellyfin or Plex. Am I missing out by not watching TV channels myself?

    It also depends incredibly on the team handling the animations. Super Massive games has nothing on Naughty Dog when talking facial animations. There are some serious deep emotions conveyed in Uncharted 4 or The Last of Us. Since they’re both on PC now I’d recommend to give them a play if you haven’t. While i really like the kind of narratives SMG makes, I think their quality is not as high level as some others.
