Why it’s easy is because the window control buttons are slightly different on steam then on every other window on the PC, putting the big picture mode button right behind where the minimize button usually is. Why Valve did this? No fucking clue.
It also seems as though plans for a sequel to Baldur’s Gate 3 are in the early stages already. Speaking to PC Gamer, Eugene Evans, the senior vice president of digital strategy and licensing for WotC and Hasbro, said the company has already started conversations about what the next Baldur’s Gate game will look like and how...
Stumbles ass first into giving creative control of their property to one of the most devoted and talented studios of the decade, leading to a wildly successful and popular game.
“That’s great! Let’s give it to someone else!” - some stupid ass exec who can only see ahead one financial quarter at a time.
Lol, the cognitive dissonance of whining about capitalism because their vidya game got a little more expensive. Not only is the entitlement and hypocrisy off the charts, there are so many ways to play games for cheap and/or free, the criticism is entirely moot. Don’t like the price a company is asking for for an entirely optional commodity? Don’t fucking pay it. It’s not that hard.
I get that Steam is where everything and everyone is at. And that the user experience and functionality is best there BUT having another player to try an compete with Steam is a good thing, right?...
I feel like my “all-time favorite” changes depending on my mood, but if I had to pick just one, I’d probably go with The Witcher 3. That game just hit all the right notes—amazing story, incredible world-building, and so much stuff to do without feeling like pointless filler. Plus, the expansions were just as good, if not...
That’s not an inaccurate description. Though context is important - most of the characters know yours through behavior and actions that neither you or the character remember. A lot of the game is playing with how you handle that.
I can sympathize with that. The whole game is intentionally bleak and rough, which can be pretty off putting (though it does make the few nice parts exceptionally nice). The devs made a pretty overt choice to focus more on being fairly confrontational art rather than being particularly accommodating to the player.
Answering GDC’s 2023 survey, 78% of respondents said they considered the harassment and toxicity developers receive from the public to be a serious issue. A simple sentiment is often the most effective, and the title of Dragon Age veteran Mark Darrah’s latest video cuts right to the heart of it: “Your $70 doesn’t buy you...
To be clear, that was not a thing. Just the PSN account doesn’t require payment. The subscription is for playing in MP and (I think) access to online media like yt.
Somehow had no idea about the director. Shame. I was considering buying the game on GOG, and from the sounds of it, it’s actually pretty good despite his involvement. Ah well.
They did. And they already are rolling it back, specifically thanking trump for helping to “restore service”. It was all a political stunt, and nobody’s gonna care cause their skinner button got turned back on again.
CEO Marek Tyminski was present during the investor call, and later chimed in on Xitter to echo Hill’s points and spread the word to CI Games’s audience of (in Hill’s phrase) “core and adjacent” players. One good thing to come from this shitshow is that it’s made it really easy to figure out what people and companies to never support again. Before I might’ve accidentally supported a bigoted, shithole developer. Now I have a historical record of entities not worth interacting with, let alone giving them money.
In most cases, acquisition seems to work out poorly for indie studios, but ND has certainly made good use of Sony’s resources while they’ve been there. I’m just glad I get to play their games finally.
If you remain fixated on the idea that your way to relax is gone, you’ll never be able to find a new way. Life changes, for good and bad. It’s on us to make the best of it.
Today’s game is Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag. This is one of my favorite games of all time. I first played through it on PS3 when i was younger and have fond memories of it, especially the story. Though Unity will always have my favorite game play, Black Flags story will always be one of my favorites....
Black Flag was/is such an enjoyable game. I always wanted the option to have an npc take the helm so I could head up to the crows nest and just chill out, watching the sea pass by and listening to the crew sing shanties while we sailed off to wherever. Still holding out some slim hope that some modder will randomly take up the task some day, hah, though it seems like the modding options for BF are very limited, judging by what’s available.

Developing from a pretty, young, “vulnerable” girl that needs saving (even though she’s already tough as hell in TW3) into an older (chud translation: “ugly”) main protagonist fighting back against the patriarchy has these fools spitting with outrage. Here’s hoping CDPR doesn’t give them an inch.
Re: the ending and Part II - It pissed me of in particular because I specifically went for a leg shot in that scene, and then Joel just goes on a rampage. And then it turns into a big revenge plot in the sequel for the very thing I didn’t want to do. It was all very frustrating.
I’ve been thinking recently about how the game would feel if you spend the first half of the game as Abby
Ooh. That’s a pretty clean fix for my bigger gripes about the game. I nearly put the game down when the second half was revealed. It felt so forced. Still don’t love the forced participation in the torture porn at the end, but switching the order of perspectives would def be better.
Lol. “How dare you give me a comprehensive explanation of specifically what I asked about! Rude!” What is rude is being so shitty to someone that went out of their way to try and help you understand something, acting like it was a personal insult. How selfish and demanding of you.
