600+ mods lol, I‘m just trying to get a taste of all the quests and I thought getting the achievements would be neat, I like to platinum games if it‘s not too ridiculous.
Sadly, the DLCs aren‘t playing too nicely with my mods - the Dawnguard locations look kinda boring and low res compared to Skyrim, and Solstheim - while looking amazing and I love the place - has some very noticable graphical glitches. But it‘s a price I‘m willing to pay for the stunning vistas a heavily modded Skyrim has to offer.
I never got into unmodded Skyrim, it was just too much jank for me. So I‘m catching up.
I am and I am using a DLSS mod and it‘s working. But getting to a stable 60 in Starfield is just… If it looked like Cyberpunk raytraced then I‘d get it, but it really does not look like it should be a heavy hitter. I smell technical failings.
I really just can‘t tolerate how poorly it runs compared to how it looks. They‘d have to double the framerate somehow for me to buy it and that‘s pretty much impossible.
I hope Digital Foundry does a review. I wanna see CPU utilization so badly, Paradox needs to learn to invest into CPU optimizations for their CPU heavy games
Paradox published games are so often great gameplay-wise but technically incompetent lol, wouldn‘t surprise me if it utilized like 2 CPU cores tops to simulate a whole metropolis
Still on NFS Heat and have been playing a bit of Kaze and the Wild Masks (or so), both games are enjoyable enough in their own right but won‘t make it on any of my top lists.
Currently going around between Assassin‘s Creed Unity, NFS Heat, and Tales of Arise.
ACU sometimes feels like I‘m not in control (and stealth as such random) and the parkour controls do a lot of stuff I don‘t want it to, but the story‘s nice and Paris is beautiful to jump around in.
NFS Heat is also beautiful especially in HDR, the driving feels good enough. Biggest downside to me is the cop AI, if there‘s no ramp to jump off of, they keep rubberbanding back onto me and it‘s annoying. The map can also feel very empty.
Lastly, Tales of Arise. I love the characters and the story, but I‘ll never warm up to Tales‘ combat. It‘s the best iteration yet, just doesn‘t click with me. Says a lot about the characters and the story that I‘m going through regardless. Another nitpick is that cities could really use more dynamic. Lots of wax figures. Aside from that, it looks great (after a few ini tweaks) and runs great!
I‘m playing it in HDR and having a good time, just enjoying the spectacle, although the cops could be more loseable without ramps, I can see that annoy me towards the end of the game lol
