God bless David Oshery and all the NB devs who have been working on dusk over the years. Glad dusk HD is here and the SDK is coming along. We are UNWORTHY

Something I’ve realized over the years playing high reaction multiplayer games is that there’s a very real chance the person freaking out over a missed score or a loss in chat is super high on coke, meth, or A LOT of adderall. The amount of hard stimulant addicts I’ve spoken with who frequent rocket league or quake-esque game deathmatches is crazy.

GTA has always been for teenagers, edgelords, and angstmeisters so they can feel hardcore while they vent out some of their aggression on game characters. You don’t play gta for the innovative gameplay, you play it to jack cars and enact violence on virtual douchebags. It actually shares a similar function to postal 2 now that I think about it.

In my mind boomer shooter is more doom, blood, and quake, while UT and halo started the genre of more modernish arena shooters (though quake is probably more like a stepping stone between boomer and arena shooters so I consider it kind of both). and yeah the people who played those games in the early to mid 90s are at the very least in their mid 30s right now which is definitely boomer age by current internet definition of the word (nobody can ever even agree what age is technically what generation). Hell im in my early 20s and pretty sure kids born in 2010s would call me a boomer.

Nope, work your way up to a heroic dose of magic mushies and the universe/god/cosmic conciousness practically screams it in your face and spells it out for your retarded depressed monkey brain. You’re here to have fun, experience new things, bask in the sunlight, and to be a unique one-of-a-kind being woven into the tapestry of reality. A unique stich patterned by your particular mental emotional complexities and life experiences, never to be replicated again ever. Our existence is both an artistic expression, a unique fingerprint in spacetime, as well as a playful avatar of the universe feeling itself out.

But thats just like, my opinion man

Epic is on a decline, never forget what they did to unreal. Also I really like when devs give the option to buy on itch.io and get a steam key with the drm free version. They get more money per sale and I get a drm free version and a steam version in one. Zortch and Dwarf Fortress are the only two games I know of to do this but would like to see more.

I loved my switch at the beginning in 2017 but it being nintendcucked ruined it for me. Terrible sales/overpriced games, also I refuse to pay just to have multiplayer and their half assed emulators. Steam deck is a godsend, someday ill work up the courage to eat the 600$ on one or wait until steam deck 2/pro/ultra/the deckening

delisted all the unreal and unreal tournament games from all storefronts to reduce competition to fortnite. You can’t buy any unreal game legit anymore, either have to pirate or scrounge internet archive. For anyone who doesn’t know unreal was epicmegagames first flagship series, the one that printed the money for the foundation they sit on. Very dedicated fanbase and everything, and epic kills it. even the singleplayer campaigns.

Thanks for the reply, I was really tempted since it went for sale during the steam summer sale. My life circumstances are such that I can’t really justify the money on another game box. My switch still works, I have a decent laptop that can play many of my lower-hardware requirement games. I am currently doing off-grid living and that 600$ is better spent on survival necessities and quality of life improvements or just in my bank as emergency fund. If I were a teen again it would be a no-brainer but my time for gaming is less and less. Saying no to the deck this summer sale was one of the hardest and most responsible things i’ve ever done.
