RampantParanoia2365,

I had no idea they allow you to hook up a Nintendo at Cici’s.

RampantParanoia2365,

Wouldn’t it be smarter to do a lower budget drama, then? This seems like an expensive throwaway.

RampantParanoia2365,

I’m playing Baldur’s Gate 3, and I wish the same thing.

RampantParanoia2365,

Really, it’s more about how cutscenes and dialogue keep playing if you pause. Not a huge deal, but sometimes things come up. If the game auto-saved periodically, this would be less of one.

RampantParanoia2365,

Playstation’s exclusives are on the whole, a lot more interesting to me. I honestly have almost no interest in Xbox because of that. It’s not the hardware, it’s purely the software.

RampantParanoia2365,

I usually kill him. Geralt tries to comfort him by mentioning his Butcher moniker, but they’re not at all the same circumstances. What he does is inexcusable, regardless of the girl he spares.

RampantParanoia2365,

It’s a good one. It shows up as just another village contract in Velen, and takes a turn.

RampantParanoia2365,

Killed the guys who betrayed him, and dared the village to do something about it. Axxiid them walk off a cliff, burn down their barn. I’m sure there’s plenty of alternative options for a Witcher without slaughtering everyone.

Death Stranding UI is fucking horriffic. angielski

I’m about 8 hours into Death Stranding Director’s Cut, and I just can’t do this. I love the meditative, lonely feel of the gameplay, and I’m always down for a bonkers and absurd Kojima story. I truly hope future games implement a similar traversal system where you really need to watch your footing. But this game is...

Rodina is a very cool space game. You fly a starship - which you can completely design and walk around inside - around an open solar system. You land on planets and asteroids ( seamlessly in real-time) and collect pieces of the very awesome scifi novel-like story. I believe there are now enemy alien bases you enter, but when I played the real draw was the incredible lonely atmosphere of space. It has some of the best newtonian space flight/combat I’ve played to this day, and the gun play is kind of like old school Doom. I’m sure it’s come quite far since I played years ago, but it was literally a one man project at the time.

Graphically, it’s very low-poly, and it’s not the most varied game, but what’s there is 👌

Anyone who likes space scifi should play it. It’s incredible, and it came before No Man’s Sky released.

RampantParanoia2365,

I’ve never experienced this, ever.

RampantParanoia2365,

No, I mean I’ve never been forced to register an account before being able to play, except with Rockstar PC games. Ubisoft games have asked, but it hasn’t been required.

Alan Wake II free trial for PS5... angielski

So last night I finished Alan Wake Remastered, and go to look at Alan Wake II prices, and I see that it has a free 3 hour trial. Great! It’s 12:30am now, so I’ll just set it to download and try it tomorrow night! Today I go to have a look, and…the trial is expired because it started as soon as the download finished I...

RampantParanoia2365,

I can’t imagine a world where I don’t love it. Loved AW, Control, and all the Max Paynes. I dont even know how many times I’ve played Max Payne 2. But goddamn, really guys?

RampantParanoia2365,

Well, I’m about to start Alan Wake 2, then I’ll start Death Stranding, and then Baldur’s Gate. Plus I could probably go through Spider-Man and Cyberpunk again. So personally I should be eating well for a while.

RampantParanoia2365,

“a AAA single-player shooter in today’s market was a truly awful idea”

Fucking what? Why? What in the actual fuck?

RampantParanoia2365,

I guess Cyberpunk was a truly awful idea. Who knew?

RampantParanoia2365,

It’s excellent. Seriously a great RPG after 2.0.

RampantParanoia2365,

Do you suppose he had a stroke mid-interview?

RampantParanoia2365,

Alright, I’m on Cyberpunk now, and was going to do Alan Wake 1 and 2 next, but I think I’ll go with DS.

RampantParanoia2365,

Yes. And Miles Morales is essentially an expansion dlc that ended up as it’s own title. It is really good, but it’s not as long as 1 and 2. So play 1, then the actual expansions for 1, then MM, then 2.

God of War Creator Is Unhappy With New Games and Kratos' Story (comicbook.com) angielski

Despite being nominated for numerous awards and even winning Game of the Year in 2018, the creator of God of War, David Jaffe, is not a huge fan of the new direction the series has gone in. Jaffe himself hasn't worked on these new God of War games, but thinks that they're not staying true to the spirit of the character and the...

RampantParanoia2365, (edited )

Indeed, Jaffe does not akree.

RampantParanoia2365,

You’re probably right. Must be bird watchers who bought all those copies.

RampantParanoia2365,

Sounds like Jaffe does not akree

RampantParanoia2365,

There’s so many playstyle builds, though. I’m looking forward to my next playthrough as a gun slinger.

RampantParanoia2365,

The logo touching the edge and also being cut off gives me worse anxiety than the crayon.

RampantParanoia2365,

I’ve played it like 6 times. Just love the whole world.

RampantParanoia2365,

I just finished Spider-Man 2. Next, I will finish Spider-Man 2.

RampantParanoia2365,

Back then, we really couldn’t engage with a display manufacturer to do exactly what we were after because they didn’t really understand the product category, or who would be buying the screen, or why it would matter. Now that picture has changed and we’re able to get custom work done.

Why would literally any of those questions be of concern to the screen manufacturer? And I don’t understand, did Valve begin work on this in 1918? How could anyone not understand the product category?

RampantParanoia2365,

Are you finding there to be almost no side missions aside from the collectibles? I’ve had 2 small side quests for Miles so far, and I think that’s all…

RampantParanoia2365,

Well I do hope more open up at some point. I like good narrative side missions in open world games. I want to be the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

RampantParanoia2365,

Yeah, if the world were more like Yakuza with a million random minigames, it’d be pretty much perfect after 2.0

The Weekly 'What are you playing?' Discussion - 09-10-2023 (lemmy.world) angielski

Have you been spending hours trying to pass a level? Or maybe you are completely addicted to a newly bought game. Do you have a question about a game or would like to share something else? In the Weekly Discussion Thread, you can do it all!...

RampantParanoia2365,

Cyberpunk, obviously. Should be done just about in time for Spidey 2

RampantParanoia2365,

I’m playing for the first time, amd my only real gripe is I wish the gorgeous cyberpunk world were more like Yakuza, with a million random minigames. Other than that, it’s been a blast.

RampantParanoia2365,

Pretty much the same story here. Finally playing it now, and I can barely put it down. It’s story is nearly as good as W3, and my car doesn’t even take random hard lefts off the road for no reason whatsoever in this one. Actually, gameplay is a massive step up in general.

RampantParanoia2365, (edited )

Well, I meant a step up from the overall quality of Witcher 3. But, it is really smooth and solid combat with a real variety of styles/builds. I’m digging katana/guns/mantis blades/sandi. And I know the 2.0 skill revamp made a huge and smart impact on the gameplay.

RampantParanoia2365,

I’d start with Bioshock. It’s definitely worth playing, but probably a bit dated feeling now. I really like HZD, it’s excellent, but God of War is by far my favorite. Combat is incredible, story is an awesome “not revisionist history” of mythology, and Chris Judge as Kratos is just 👌

RampantParanoia2365,

TF2 multi-player is still active?
