Diablo 4 was a perfect example of this. People were optimising their run to the end then complaining about a lack of content within a week. Then there’s people like me who spent a good 60 hours already with plenty of stuff still to do as I’m enjoying my journey.
Wouldn’t a Series X be better than a PS5 for range of titles, the PS5 only natively supports PS4 back cat, where as the Series X also supports a range of 360 and OG XB titles. It also adds improvements to spend of them with better frame rates or resolution.
I agree that a lot of modern games hold the hand too much, but I found Outer Wilds to be the opposite for me, too obtuse and open to get a grip on the gameplay loop. If you dig that, more power to you, for me it was too much.
