IIRC I’ve used Cheat Engine, before it was littered with shit, to speed up an awfully slow singleplayer game
In Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory (W:ET) I had a whole setup of config scripts for key bindings
For W:ET server hosting I put configuration into a deliberate, structured set of files (it’s not necessarily obvious between splitting base game and alternateable mod configuration)
PC. Most often mouse or keyboard and mouse. Sometimes gamepad, then maybe streaming to my TV and sofa. I have a SteamDeck, but it’s not getting much use. Like my Vive.
I only played one The Sims many years ago. I wonder if it was the first or second.
It certainly was a good game with good mechanics and content.
I’ve only seen a little bit of how it evolved in videos. I wonder how much EA is reiterating and republishing the same content and mechanics, and how much has evolved and changed? Did the products warrant regular and many releases and DLC?
I’m still waiting for Steam to export my numerous reviews, then it’d be much easier to list a few great titles. But navigating through the Steam profile review pages is not viable with 10 per page for 477. I have one particular in mind I remember having praised a lot many years ago.
