The shame is that the ending of Season 4 might be one of the most ’ Star Trek’ moments in the franchise. But the lead up to was so generic that many didn’t make it that far.
That’s how they used to be in the early days of the Internet. The earliest online multiplayer games like Cyberstrike charged by the hour. Cyberstrike cost six dollars an hour! Games in the BBS days were by the minute.
… Not that I feel there is any reason to bring that back. I am ok with live service games charging a monthly subscription though.

Gaming had managed to get by on this thanks to increasing market volume as gaming became more mainstream in addition to extra revenue streams like micro transactions. But it’s hitting saturation now and won’t keep counteracting inflation forever
