but when it comes to games I'm homophobic for not wanting to participate.
No, you're a bigot for publicly crying about it on end instead of just not buying it. No one would give a shit about you for you not buying a game. It's when you go to the forums and start crying woke.
The elusive Nazi on Lemmy. How funny.
I can't fathom how fragile your self identity as "white man" must be, if the inclusion of non white people and women in video games is somehow this upsetting to you. I bet you're one of those people who cry about wokeism on the Steam forums.
In the few games that I played that had both, FSR 3 ran much better than XeSS. XeSS was a little better than FSR 2 (granted, not hard because FSR 2 often runs worse than native for me) but FSR 3 typically had 20+ more FPS than XeSS. Maybe they run better on Intel gpus but those are still too experimental and too low performance for me to even consider at this stage.
Even Gold can be comparable to Windows. Even silver, since a lot of games don't actually work well or at all on Windows anymore. At the same time, Platinum can still mean issues. It's not that black & white comparable when there's so many factors going into it (regardless of the OS).
If setting a simple setting is too much for you, which is also a 5 second search away if you're struggling that hard, then yeah, Linux is too much for you. But so is Windows.
Expansions are really not the same as "micro transactions" (now very much macro transactions). Expansions were typically content filled and had a fair price point, regardless if they shipped boxed on a CD or were packed into a digital download. Now we pay the price for a full sized expansion for a single cosmetic in some games.
You and OP might also like Foundation. It does not have the same graphics style unfortunately but it has no grid structure which makes your villages and cities look very organic.
