Imagine telling your girlfriend that you want to fuck someone else and when she freaks out you go: okaaay, i'll use a condom, chill.
Okay, still mad, i'm not gonna fuck anyone else then, you won, happy now?
I thought it was really shallow. Nothing seemed to matter, the city was supposed to be one of the main protagonists, but it was just cery shallow, driving is the least fun i've ever had in a game like that, to the point that i never drove anywhere, npc's where a joke, so was the police. Most of the time it was just a Bethesda like "collect garbage and shut up" game. The music and artstyle i found fantastic, the sound design in general was very memeroble, but the game felt shallow and dead.

I heard a lot of complaints from people that tge camera is way too close when you talk to someone and their dead eyes look weird. And it's true, but i find it way worse that EVERYONE just stares at you. If you walk by their eyes are glued to yours. It's such a strange thing.
Even a decade ago i would laugh out loud every time i saw these dead ass expressionless npc's and their clunky ai. Gta 5 released 10 years ago. But a small indie developer like Bethesda can't be bothered to make their games better
According to Hans-Kristian Arntzen, a prominent open-source developer working on Vkd3d, a DirectX 12 to Vulkan translation layer, Starfield is not interacting properly with graphics card drivers.
No she used to be a man. I used to watch his old videos on YouTube, and only a few month ago i remembered it, and looked if he had a podcast, so i started listening to the jimquisition podcasts and was really confused how he's not in it. Only then they said James Stephanie Sterling i finnaly got it. She seems to do fine, she's also a wrestler now.
Happily, PlayStation 5 manages to deliver a creditable rendition of the game, but the now legendary Act Three continues to humble CPU performance - perhaps more than we anticipated going in.
That it kind of the thing tho, if you just violently smash your sword around, it's gonna break. Like katanas are pretty flimsy and a german greatsword for example could just snap it off. Let's take elden ring for example and you use your sword to find an invisible wall, that's terrible for a sword and it would go to shit really quick. So i guess in a way it's realistic. But i really don't like it when games do that. All it does for me is that i'm never going to use the nice things in the game, because they break, then you need a new one or repair it or whatever.
I'm fine with encumbrance... especially in these Bethesda games. All they do is litter the world with garbage for the player to pick up and carry around for no reason other than make the game longer.
I have not owned a console in a decade or so, i only play on PC. I bought a switch for my nephew to play around when he visits. I literally only ever held a switch once and i didn't really know what to expect. I like a lot of the hardware part. Like controllers are super easy to pair, they even show up in the right colour, i like how you can use them in different ways. Docking and undocking, handheld mode, all very cool. But oh my, the eshop is a nightmare. The nintendo account thing took me a while until it worked for unknown reasons. What i absolutely despise tho is that i bought mario kart and i paid full price for that game that came out in 2014. It had dlc tracks (that was expected i guess) and they just show up as normal tracks with a slightly different symbol. These assholes know exactly what they are doing. Kids keep pressing these tracks until the parents spend 25 or so more bucks for some more tracks on a game from 2014 that still costs full price.
I assume they do that with smash as well an all of these games. I loved nintendo when i grew up, like a lot. But now i really just regret that i gave them money.
I want to like Bethesda games. I liked fallout 3 a lot and their doom games, which is different i guess. But man, i'm not a trash collector that collects trinkets. It's not enjoyable to me. It doesn't matter where the setting is. And the fact that the characters still look like the game is made in 2010, with the same shitty zoomed in dialogue and awkward ass eye contact is just driving me away. This isn't some indie company that want to make thir dream game, this is Bethesda that wants to make a 80 dollar game with as little effort as humanly possible.
It's crazy to me that they make the same game for almost 20 years but still can't make it work. The ai seems to get worse every game, computers get better and better but it still runs the same.
As far as i remember the games back then were pretty shit, because they just told random game studios to make South park games. The games were just clones of other games like mario kart. (I did like that dumb ps1 game tho) and trey and matt weren't really happy with it so they "made their own" starting with stick of truth. That's why there was a sudden shift in quality.
I love hearing about unique takes on game mechanics. Someone recently convinced me that limited inventories are kind of abused currently and that unlimited inventory systems would give more player choices.
Yeah it makes me feel like a dumbass.
I recently bought marvels midnight suns because it was on sale, i didn't even onow it was a card game. I usually don't really play card games. The game is fine, actually i kinda like it. But the things i don't like are the things when you don't play the card game. You just awkwardly walk around in 3rd person. After every fight it's the same. You walk to a guy, go to bed, skip 3 cutscenes, walk to the forge, walk to the upgrade thing, walk to whoever you have to talk. Probably 1/3 of the game is walking the same path every ingame day.
Make an option to skip all of that. Make it a drop down menu or something.
