It’s definitely happened before, though I couldn’t say to what extent. The reason has been that if they rate games from major developers too poorly they stop getting access to their new games before release.
I care very little about critics these days though, and it’s mostly for the reason you suggest, differing opinions. If they don’t like the same types of games I like, what good is their rating to me? I’m not taking the time to try to find a critic that has similar tastes as me.
DRM is usually known for big games before they are released. You can find articles about how the DRM works online. If it’s a new type of DRM, they usually describe how it works.
Uhh, because I have a working optical drive. Am I in the minority now? Doesn’t get a ton of use but every now and then I have to rip a DVD I own because it’s starting to die.
It’s more integrated. Also, I don’t think the expectation is to carry them around. You’d pick what you want for your trip and leave the rest at home. I expect this to be more like DS and less like Switch. I.e. A single person per device.
It sure sounded like you were. It’s because you said cash grab. That’s a negative attribute. You basically said it’s garbage but made him a lot of money. Along the lines of like the last 4 terminator movies.
