Even then you might not see them. I’ve noticed recently that a ton of songs that used to have the lyrics attached no longer show the lyrics or have the button to show them. And I do have premium.
My GPU is Nvidia (1660 Super), but doesn’t support DLSS or doesn’t support the latest iteration of it, I am not entirely sure. I, personally, try to avoid using upscalers and just want the native resolution. This is the only game I have taken advantage of the upscaling for more than just comparison, because it’s almost unplayable without it since the GPU I have is technically below the minimum requirement. My sister has a newer RTX card so I can compare DLSS between FSR, and I can’t even really tell much difference. They’re both blurrier than native, but it’s more noticable on a monitor than a TV.
It’s a little better. I’m pretty sure it’s gotta be the NPCs now. Video card is handling it all quite nicely, despite not having RTX or even DLSS support, but everywhere there are crowds it slows down by 20 fps. Currently just standing in the main road of Neon and it’s around 40-45, dropoing to 35 when I run, but get a solid 60 when no NPCs are visible by looking up at an animated billboard or something.
I think the mod is simply a better implementation of DLSS and one that possibly even works on non-nvidia or non-dlss supported GPUs. IDK, I saw it the other day on Nexus but didn’t get it because FSR works just fine 🤷🏻♂️
I’m wondering if this would help get a solid 60 outside of interiors/around loads of NPCs. Only my GPU doesn’t meet requirements, and it’s still playable. But is mostly 30-40’s unless I’m in a small interior or an interior with not many NPCs. The NPCs are more bound to CPU so I’m not sure if having lower res/filesize textures would help. I don’t think the VRAM is the problem.
To be fair, even with the bonuses, and karmic dice enabled, you can still end up rolling a 1 multiple times in a row.
That’s why I save on the roll screen before I toss the die. Go through inspiration/tools first. Then reload if I get fucked over. Because it just sucks failing a DC10 when you can only fail on a 1, since the game does not let you just take a 10.
You joke, but I think a collaborative game project like that would be interesting. Maybe not good, but I’d love to see what would happen with such a thing.
Ooooh… What if the SCP community collectively build the best damn SCP game possible? 🤤
The shooter? I know of it, I’ve seen Civvie11’s videos on it; haven’t tried it myself yet. In the same vein, I have played Cultic, which is very similar and also a pretty good game (underselling it).
Computer games were popular, but from what I remember about Japan and PC gaming in the 90’s was that they didn’t usually have IBM compatible machines and used their own funky shit, which had their own funky games.
I mean… Yes, but I would have expected it to not run at all. It runs playable. Which is crazy for it not only being an unsupported GPU, but also a BGS game. It wasn’t meant as a bash, other than it probably could have been supported if they didn’t use DLSS/FSR as a crutch. It was praise for the stability actually being fucking solid for once.
Complaints about the looks still stand (don’t need to have high fps to see the world looking nice in a still frame lol). At its best, it looks 5 years old. I’ve seen better recently, so it’s kind of disappointing.
