At first this article reads like your typical anti-piracy screed. It rants about how 10x more people watched GoT illegally (confusing them with lost sales) and ends with how downloading movies can get your credit card stolen....
I’ve been experimenting with some free VPNs, and it looks like Riseup is legit. I’m able to torrent on it without issue and the speeds are acceptable for my connection....
This is where the argument that piracy is also preserving games stands up. Although, it begs the question why games developers do not properly archive their software.
It wasn’t breaking any rules. Are the mods also part of the crowd that’s ashamed to admit when they’re wasting money? I wouldn’t put it past them. Or perhaps it’s something more nefarious....
