I continued Alan Wake II today. I’ve been avoiding spoilers for this game so i have no clue if i’m near the end or not, but i’m loving the entire thing and i already don’t want it to end. I’m hoping to get a second part of going back to play as Alan but with where i got too in the story i have a feeling i’m close to...
I’m avoiding reading this thread as I don’t want spoilers but I didn’t really enjoy the first one that much and dropped out before finishing. I hear a lot about 2 though, is it worth playing the first one in order to play 2?
This one was much better than the sequels and I think it was because in the sequels I found Lara unbearable. In this one she was scrappy and there was lighthearted chitchat to just make everyone feel a bit human. In the sequels everything was just so melodramatic and it all took itself way too seriously, especially considering how silly the stories were.
The difference between each generation of consoles is getting less and less. The latest jump doesn’t really give you anything the previous gen didn’t give you, it just has sharper graphics. The graphics aren’t even that much better.
I’m a PC gamer but my wife got me a Switch for Christmas because she knew I wanted to play some Mario Kart. The 1st party stuff is pretty expensive and doesn’t go on offer much (as long as you only use digital stores like me). Other stuff can be pretty cheap though, I’ve got Limbo, Inside, Civilization VI, Torchlight II, and more that I can’t remember, for like £2 each on offer. There’s lots more that regularly comes up as less than £10.
My friend and I used to play this early 80’s arcade game back in the day. I can’t for the life of me remember it’s name. Hoping someone here can help....
Everyone seems to think that games like Doom and Half-Life came out all the time. I remember looking at shareware disks in shops and seeing loads of games that looked like total crap.
While I support physical releases in spirit I haven’t bought one in like a decade. The only one I’ve got in the last 10 years was Mario Kart for the Switch which was a gift. I just like the convenience of having them in one big digital library. I’ve lost so many physical games through lending them to people or forgetting where they are.
