SomethingBurger,

Technically, they would be getting $0.70. 30% is going to Valve.

SomethingBurger,

Note: it doesn’t currently work on Steam Deck and Linux in general because of the anti cheat. UbiSoft announced they will add an offline mode, so maybe they will partially disable it later.

SomethingBurger,

It remained online for six weeks, though.

How did Call of Duty get to this point? (lemmy.world) angielski

Since I’m a WoW addict, naturally I’m a Blizzard fan, of sorts. But my mind is blown every time I see anything from Call of Duty on the launcher. I’ve been really out of the loop, and recently saw this… and I’m shocked. You have to BUY the game for “open beta access”, like how does that make any sense? Also, the...

SomethingBurger,

People buy this shit so they make more. Simple as that.

SomethingBurger,

Why do they insist on making it so ugly?

SomethingBurger,

Reading the first link, I can almost see them sniffing their own farts. How much do they get paid for this? I’m thinking of switching careers.

SomethingBurger,

The year is 3256. The Switch 2 is delayed until next year. Mario Kart 8 is still selling like hot cakes. Phil Spencer XXIII promises games are coming to Xbox. Humanity has yet to create a better Tetris than Tetris DS.

SomethingBurger,

They will turn off the live service and make it work offline?

I don’t understand. Industry bootlickers told me it was impossible and would cost billions to implement, hurting small indie studios the most. Yet, Nintendo does it voluntarily with seemingly no difficulties.

SomethingBurger,

While the game, titled Todd Howard, is still very much a mystery

Imagine if it were literally Skyrim lmao

SomethingBurger,

They finally made it. The device that cannot run Doom.

SomethingBurger,

My love for the Switch was killed by 60€ ports and half-assed remakes.

SomethingBurger,

At least, for once, it wasn’t “indie farming simulator, indie farming simulator, indie farming simulator, indie farming simulator…”

SomethingBurger,

Imagine if Xbox only showed cartoon-style games at their presentation.

SomethingBurger,

That’s just one.

SomethingBurger,

Handhelds all use cartridges (the only exception being the PSP) because they are smaller and do not require mechanical parts.

SomethingBurger,

If you’re in the EU, they have to correct your personal information. Threaten to report them to your local privacy authority if they don’t.

SomethingBurger,

No, but they have to update your info if you want to change it.

SomethingBurger,

A full archive of SMM1 levels is available on archive.org.

SomethingBurger,

Not needed. Trackmania has times in thousandths at 60FPS. Physics run faster than graphics.

SomethingBurger,

Most likely never. Unlike other exclusives, this game was entirely funded by Epic.

SomethingBurger,

Gaming publications should automatically retroactively set their score to 0 in this case.

SomethingBurger,

I don’t buy games until the publisher announces it will be delisted.

SomethingBurger,

It’s really baffling how there still isn’t a single good One Piece fighting game. Burning Blood was terrible, and the Grand Battle games are meh and 20 years old.

Where is One Piece Budokai Tenkaichi?

SomethingBurger,

Skate 3

I’m almost done with it, I only have two challenges of the Maloof DLC left. Definitely the worst one, the map is so boring…

Also, to Hell with online achievements. Servers for the game are very unstable and only a handful of people still play. Two achievements are simply impossible because it’s no longer possible to upload replays, and designing a logo requires going to a website which no longer exists.

SomethingBurger,

Unless the physical media is tied to an account forever, like what Microsoft tried to do with the Xbox One but backpedaled after massive outcry, or what Valve has been doing for two decades without massive outcry because it’s okay when Valve does it.

SomethingBurger,

Not anymore but it was commonplace before 2010. Steam killed this.

SomethingBurger,

Realistically, when Microsoft bites the dust, both your FH2 DVD and your 360 will have stopped working decades ago.

SomethingBurger,

bruh just search for “homemade” on PornHub

SomethingBurger,

Late 90’s but I couldn’t find an exact date (I didn’t look very hard).

SomethingBurger,

Is this a screenshot from r/freegamefindings? The person posting these comments over the last two weeks has been consistently wrong.

SomethingBurger,

Ironically, Valve are innovating (Proton, Steam Deck…), yet competing products made by bigger companies are hot garbage.

SomethingBurger,

The proof is they have more money and lawyers.

SomethingBurger,

Steam’s, Epic’s, Ubisoft’s, Battle.net’s and whatever-EA’s-thing-is-called-now’s sites are also slow as shit. What is it with these platforms which prevent them from loading a webpage in less than 10 seconds?

SomethingBurger,

Valve’s DRM prevents the resale of physical PC games, as Steam codes are single-use. They singlehandedly killed the used PC games market.

SomethingBurger,

Technically, Denuvo isn’t DRM, it’s anti-tamper. It protects the actual DRM from being modified or removed. It’s closer to an anticheat, as it ensures the game wasn’t modified.

Fun fact: my autocorrect changes anticheat to Antichrist.

SomethingBurger,

What tracking does Epic need? “According to our analytics, 100% of users scroll to the free games banner on Tuesday at 5pm CEST, then leave and don’t come back for a week. What a mystery!”

SomethingBurger,

In the video that was posted, the user testing the card is manually inserting and removing the card in order to cycle through the different games on the cart.

It appears it cannot run unsigned code, as it doesn’t have a menu. This is probably similar to the Sky3DS. It behaves like a real cartridge, so it would only run pirated cartridges. No DLC or homebrew.

SomethingBurger,

It’s useless. It’s already fairly easy to boot burned CDs on an unmodified console, and mods already exist to run games from a microSD card.

SomethingBurger,

And now we have The Flash and Morbius… The golden age is over, we’re back to shit.

SomethingBurger,

My only gripe with Playnite is how inconsistent feature support is in themes. You want to see your achievements? This theme has support, but it won’t show data from How Long To Beat. This theme supports both, but cannot show console icons for emulated games… Hopefully this will change when version 11 is out next year, with more features from plugins being moved to core.

Other than that, it’s great. I use it on a PC as a DIY console, Windows is set to start it automatically, and all my Steam games are here, alongside all my console games which I have downloaded as ROMs to centralize them all on a single device.
