FunderPants,

This happened with the ps3, the chief at playstation at the time said we wouldnt be able to find them at retail. My friends and I made some fun snapping pics of them sitting on shelves.

We were way into the game news scene at the time.

FunderPants,

And I’m thankful for that because, when the promotion was right, I bought one. Warhawk, MAG, Demons souls and KZ2. What a great generation of games.

FunderPants,

No disk drive is no purchase from me. I even saved up the money to buy one, but I won’t without a disk drive.

FunderPants,

I did not know that was a thing and I absolutely would buy one. Thank you.

FunderPants,

This sounds safe

FunderPants,

How else would we finish ogre battle with all the cool units?

FunderPants, (edited )

PS Studio games are the reason I own a ps5. If the quality dips, I’ll have no reason to own a PS6.

FunderPants,

If what they’re saying is true, that it looked like they had to use so many resources to support the game it would fundamentally change them into a live services studio from a narrative driven single player studio, then I’m glad they took this decision.

FunderPants,

Wuppo… Let’s see. Metroidvania… Steam Deck verified… On sale for $1.49

Yup, thanks for this! Looks like I’m playing Wuppo!

Just finished Sea of Stars on PS5, true ending. Loved the way they improved on most aspects of SNES era RPGs , I just wish the story had been as impactful as the awesome gameplay, but I compare everything to Nier Automata so the bar is high.

Picked up Star Ocean First Departure R, and almost immediately regretted it, especially in comparison to Sea of Stars. Wandering aimlessly trying to trigger the next event , talking to every NPC in the village trying to move the plot along with barely a clue on where to go, that old design may have worked in 1996 but it’s just not worth the time anymore.

I think I’ll drop it and maybe try Starfield on the PC, or I’ve got final fantasy stranger of paradise sitting in my unplayed collection.

I bought it for less than that from a pawn shop during the peak hate. I remember the pawn guy being like “that ones got real bad reviews” and I said “I’ll try any game for $14”.
I tucked it away for a year or so and then loved it.

Confused about the ending of Metro 2033

In the bad ending of the game, you bomb some volcano looking region of the city with what looks like nukes to kill the dark ones. Got lots of questions about that. Why was that area glowing red? Why were the dark ones thought to be there while during the game they were quite close to human settlements? Or if human settlements...

FunderPants,

In the book I don’t believe they were nukes, just described as a pre-war missle silo. They fire 4 into the gardens, it’s pretty clear in the games that the gardens and surrounding area are the home of the dark ones, they live really right on top of humanity. I haven’t played last light tho so I’m not sure about anything else.

FunderPants,

I use Chiaki and just can’t seem to get a trouble free stream. I would use this psp if it worked without trouble.
