DebatableRaccoon,

Personally, I’d say Sekiro. You need to be good with timing but the experience is much more streamlined. There’s no equipment system so you don’t have to worry about finding what’s good for you, let alone slogging it through the first however many hours to get whatever items get recommended in Top X lists. Also, I find the movement system is much more to my liking. It feels immediate instead of trying to sprint through a field of porridge. However, if porridge is what you’re looking for, Sekiro is a poor pick for you.

Lies of P is also a good pick for having tighter movement and QoL upgrades over Souls games though I dare say a lot of fans will want to drag me across the coals for saying that.

DebatableRaccoon,

At least it’s not Kotaku but all this consolidation is far from good news. Heaven forbid reporters should get to stay independent, let alone being puppeted by a company that’s little more than a meme.

DebatableRaccoon,

Exactly this. I’ll always maintain a game will be and will remain prettier is an artistic style than an ultra realistic style. It just takes up resources that could be used elsewhere for the sake of looking pretty for the next 3-5 years before the “Uhh muh Guuhhhhd, it looks so realistic” ages like milk. Games like Wind Waker and Okami still look gorgeous today.

DebatableRaccoon,

Still the best console of all time so that’s a pretty solid stopping point

DebatableRaccoon,

Forgive me while I groan

DebatableRaccoon,

“can’t wait to buy” sounded pretty sarcastic to me

DebatableRaccoon,

Personally, with the experiences I had with GTA V and looking at how far both R* and Take Two have fallen in my esteem, I won’t be buying it.

DebatableRaccoon,

Guess they’ll have to take it up with the overlords

DebatableRaccoon,

CEO says “I want to make more money”. Crowd responded “No shit”.

I’ve seen a theory that Steam is holding, possibly even for a time when Sony puts it in writing that players won’t need a PSN account permanently before they’re willing to relist the game which I think is a fair desire at this point.

Can somebody explain why game makers don't start their own companies together? angielski

It seems like every other week a game studio is massively laying off employees; sometimes after years of development. What I’m reading is that it’s a quick way to lower expenses and pad the investors’ pockets, flooding the market with developers and reducing their value, to then hire them back a few months later at lower...

DebatableRaccoon, (edited )

Short answer: money. It’s no secret devs are usually overworked and underpaid so even a large-ish group of developers from even some of the more popular companies getting murdered simply can’t afford to start a business. Some of them could go the Kickstarter route but few would be successful as is the way for Kickstarter.

DebatableRaccoon,

As if this comes as a surprise in any capacity. Governments are the biggest criminals out so why wouldn’t they back up other thieves so long as they’re also worth millions already.

That said, this reads as though they truly think the protections that are already in place are good enough. It’s the standard governing body problem of being at least a decade behind, they still live in a world where things can’t just be unplugged by someone not inside your house.

DebatableRaccoon,

Then what do you suggest?

DebatableRaccoon,

I don’t disagree but aside for The Crew (at a time before Ubi crafted a reputation as a bunch of scumlords) I haven’t bought one yet the market is still littered with them. I used to be one of those people who would preach from the gospel of Jim Fucking Sterling Son and just like the original, I’ve only watched things get predictably worse.

Unfortunately this as a suggestion doesn’t fix the problem of games that are being stolen now, only the ones you don’t buy in the future, assuming things don’t get even worse. It’ll only get worse before it gets better. Voting with your wallet is a fix for the future and only if people aren’t short-sighted morons (something you should absolutely never bank on) but we need a fix for the past.

DebatableRaccoon,

Given the botched launch, this isn’t much of a surprise. Only thing I can say is that I hope it serves as a lesson to people with the mindset of “this game’ll be great ^in 5 years^”

DebatableRaccoon,

In which case, I’ll clarify that I meant the people who bought, found it was borked then chose to wait for updates instead of getting an easily deserved refund.

DebatableRaccoon,

Bugthesda tried to patch something and fucked it up? Oh no, I am thoroughly shocked. Definitely didn’t see that coming.

DebatableRaccoon,

I couldn’t agree more. Back during the initial pitches of the Steam Machines, I was a supporter of the concept and was looking forward to the release. In my market, they took a long time to release and ended up being stupidly expensive. To give an idea, in my market an i3-powered unit was expensive as an i7-powered one in the US despite not having that problem with PC components or even prebuilts. Eventually I spent the money on a parts to build my own rig that was significantly more capable than what the Steam Machine of equal cost would have been. I found little ways to make being a couch PC gamer viable without breaking the bank on horribly expensive niche products like lapboards and it’s enabled me to become a PC gamer despite having been a console boy for so long. It’s a shame because I think Steam Machines would make PC gaming so much more approachable to the average consumer (which I was at the time) and I hope they still manage to in the future.

DebatableRaccoon,

This screams so damn fake. If they ever wanted to make a good game, they should have made it before releasing it, let alone prioritising DLC for a game they are more than aware of being borked at release.

DebatableRaccoon,

Sadly short-sighted “money now” comes first

DebatableRaccoon,

I’m not sure which is more foolish

DebatableRaccoon,

I know. I’m personally looking forward to WB declaring bankruptcy now that the morons have announced they’re doubling down on shitservice despite Hogwarts and Shiticide Squad showing what the public actually wants.

DebatableRaccoon,

It’s amazing how much potential the world of Fallout has when not shackled to a terrible engine, isn’t it?

cincin, do gaming afar

Manchester United striker Hoylund joined his former club's celebrations following Atalanta's 3-0 Europa League win over Liverpool on Thursday night. However, this result may not be beneficial for the Red Devils to participate in the Champions League next season.

Manchester United

Klopp's Liverpool performed shockingly at Anfield, they were scored twice by former West Ham United import player Scamacca and was frozen by Mario Phasalic. Atlanta's victory gave them an overwhelming advantage in promoted. Next week in Bergamo, Liverpool must win by 4 goals to reach the semi-finals, it can be said that one foot is out.

Meanwhile, Hoylund joined Manchester United from Atlanta last summer for a transfer fee of £73 million.

Although the Danish striker only played for Atlanta for one season, he clearly still has his eyes on his old club. After Atalanta's win, Hoylund posted a photo of the team celebrating at Anfield, accompanied by the words "Mola mia", a Bergamo proverb meaning "never give up".

It is completely understandable that Hoylund cheers for his old team, but from Manchester United's perspective, Ten Hag may still hope that Liverpool can create a miracle and turn the game around. Because of the results of the Europa League, the Premier League has fallen behind in the fight to win another spot in the Champions League next season.

Aston Villa in the UEFA Cup were the only team in the Premier League to win the European Championship this week, beating Lille. In the Europa League, in addition to the miserable defeat against Liverpool, West Ham United was also defeated 0-2 away from home by Leverkusen and is also at risk of being eliminated. In the Champions League, Manchester City and Arsenal drew with their opponents.

Now, Serie A is firmly in first place in UEFA's coefficient list and will almost certainly receive a Champions League spot, while the Bundesliga and Premier League will compete for another spot. Bayer Leverkusen's victory slightly improved the Bundesliga's scoring record.

Manchester United
The UEFA Champions League will expand in scale in the 2024/25 season, with 36 participating teams, 4 more places than currently, 2 of the positions will be determined through "European War Achievements" . Specifically, the two leagues with the best overall performance in European tournaments this season can add one additional team to participate. Specifically, in the Premier League there are already 4 spots, even the 5th ranked team can participate.

According to UEFA's coefficient calculation equation, a winning team gets 2 points, a draw gets 1 point, a losing team gets 0 points, and when entering the next stage, bonus points will be added. The statistical result is divided by the total number of clubs participating in the tournament and the result is: UEFA coefficient of the tournament.

At this time, Serie A is far ahead with 18,714 points, Bundesliga has 16,928 points, Premier League has 16,875 points, La Liga has 15,062 points, Ligue 1 has 14,750 points. The main battle between England and Germany is the fight for second place.

Manchester United

There are 7 Serie A teams in the European competition this season and there are currently 4, their highest potential points coefficient is 23,428 points, 3 of the 7 Bundesliga teams are still playing, and the highest possible coefficient is 22,500 points, 5 out of 8 Premier League teams participating, the team is not eliminated and the maximum score coefficient is up to 24 points. But this requires Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, West Ham and Villa to achieve good results in the next matches.

Among the opponents, Bayern Munich will meet Arsenal at home in round 2 and could progress, Leverkusen will also advance to the Europa League as long as they do not lose heavily in the away match. to win the championship. The laggard in the Bundesliga could be Dortmund, they lost 1-2 at home to Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals and are also at risk of being eliminated.

Manchester United is currently ranked 6th in the Premier League, 11 points behind Tottenham and Villa. It is difficult to overcome both teams at the same time. A more realistic goal is to strive for 5th place and hope for an opponent in the Premier League. can win the championship. Champions League in the European war.

DebatableRaccoon,

Wrong kind of game, bud

DebatableRaccoon,

Can we keep in mind that back when The Crew launched, Ubisoft hadn’t quite established themselves as abysmal-tier company they are now.

DebatableRaccoon, (edited )

Oh dear, I guess game companies will just have to keep paying people instead of finding yet another way to min/max their greed stat.

DebatableRaccoon,

Does this mean F*ck Face too? Those guys only just started making some amazing content on the old Let’s Play channel.

DebatableRaccoon,

Yeah, I’ve been able to find a post on Twitter as their current situation which isn’t much, unfortunately. I know it’s really shitty to make this about me or even other fans in a similar situation but as someone who stopped watching RT something like 5 years ago when all of the big changes started happening and multiple new hosts I didn’t like, came back when F*ckface took over the Let’s Play channel and started making more of the type of content I used to love so much only for them to get shutdown (and not even know it was coming) sucks so freaking much. Hell, they’ve only just posted the first video of a month’s worth of content. It’s shit like this that makes me absolutely loathe the corpo scum.

Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. 3 and VC are good but SA just puts them to shame in scope alone and I think it had a better story.

Other than that, like many are saying, Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter, Sly Cooper, Shadow of the Colossus. Prince of Persia The Sands of Time. The whole trilogy if you can but I think the first was the best with The Two Thrones coming in at a close second thanks to improved mechanics and the banter between characters feeling more confident. Oh, and Spider-man 2. It’s still the gold standard for webswinging for a reason.

DebatableRaccoon,

Typical lazy writer buzz words. I know exactly what you mean.

DebatableRaccoon,

You really believe that mess called Starfield took a decade to make? That’s funny

DebatableRaccoon, (edited )

More because I don’t believe a single word that comes out of Bugthesda and the fact that what they made was their same old shit but even more tedious somehow. It’s not about denial, it’s about Todd Howard being a pathological liar.

DebatableRaccoon,

Because ‘AAAAAAAAAAAAA’ is what I scream while running away from anything that gets announced to be a GaaS game.

DebatableRaccoon,

Well it’s about time they released more. There are still plenty of games PC players are waiting to hear on

DebatableRaccoon, (edited )

This game is absolutely marvellous. The only problem I’ve had with it personally is the apartments system is a bit annoying since I’ve never been able to find a high tier apartment that is furnished, and rarely one with a good view of the city. I understand some of the fun for some is decorating your own apartment but that’s just not my jam and any attempt of mine to decorate is lackluster at best. I’d be fine if it cost extra, just let me choose if the place comes furnished or not at purchase.

DebatableRaccoon,

My guess is Palworld has done their homework on how to be “legally distinct” enough. It’s quite a different gameplay loop, after all and Nintendo can’t copyright “cute little animals that do the manual labour for the humies” otherwise things like Digimon already wouldn’t exist.

DebatableRaccoon,

Slow news day for games journalism and writers trying to justify their paychecks. Plus, I’d imagine it helps those who were running bets not on if Nintendo would crush it, but how long before they did.

DebatableRaccoon, (edited )

You don’t necessarily need a lawyer on-hand to figure out “legally distinct”. Everything that Nintendo has taken down before has blatantly used the name and existing characters in both name and likeness. Even if the core idea when they started the game was “pokemon but with guns” - which I doubt - it’s still a good start in the vein of “inspired by” instead of “ripping off” and I bet Nintendo knows this otherwise Palworld would have been hit just as quickly as the mod was considering this is a company who made themselves infamous for going after youtubers making let’s plays of a basic racing game. They’re famously litigious so they’re going to be watching Pocketpair and Palworld like vultures after their next meal but either Pocketpair are more careful than they’d like the public to believe or their idea is different enough from the get-go that Nintendo will never get anything on them.

DebatableRaccoon, (edited )

Not to mention in a more impressive format. I thought Arceus looked graphically barren and I know there are still plenty of people annoyed at the pop-in in Scarlet and Violet. I know it isn’t really Nintendo’s thing to play into the performance competition but a lot of people just expect better these days and the much bigger scope of Breath of the Wild and impressive level of expansion in Tears of the Kingdom has made even Nintendo fans see that there’s better out there.

DebatableRaccoon,

I’d generally have to agree. When it came out, I definitely recall saying that I’d’ve grown up a pokemon fan (because Digimon was superior in anime 💪🏻😜) if Arceus had come out back then. That said, there’s still plenty of places it could be better. The lack of many of my favourite pokemon was why I ended up quickly dropping it.

DebatableRaccoon, (edited )

Now that is a business strategy. Just make them ownable and not all looter shooters and people will probably buy them

Edit: typing whoopsie

DebatableRaccoon,

Here’s hoping we’ll get the game we deserve instead of the game WB thinks we need

DebatableRaccoon,

I really wish I wasn’t surprised they’d be this petty. Yet another day in the greedy corpo world

DebatableRaccoon,

I don’t see it going well but I’d love to see it happen. “One rule for ye, another for me” and all that

DebatableRaccoon,

Not even slightly. I tried to explain this concept to my friend some weeks back and he downright refused to believe Steam or other platforms would leave players without their games if they were to go belly-up, for example.
