Standard unless there’s and flying involved, either in atmosphere or space, then I invert Y. Can’t imagine ever inverting X, that just blows my kind. Been playing since before WASD was a thing, so I’ve seen most implementations I guess.
I guess I always have it my head I’m the object I’m controlling rather than the camera following, so my brain defaults to more direct control? I do tend to favour “in-cockpit” / first person view.
I played the first one pretty much at launch and I finished and liked it a lot but the backtracking killed it for me. It was just way too much walking around ignoring mobs because I had fought them so many times every time I walked back to town. I know they fixed this somehow on later patches. Hope they bring along all the QOL updates the first one got.
I’m really excited to play with all these changes. I have just shy of 200 hours for 2 playthroughs, and virtually every change they’ve made here seems like it’ll improve things a lot.
It’s a weird visual bug. The only solution to remove it (so far) is by using console commands. Open the console, click on the asteroid, then type disable on the console.
I was already disappointed with the unimmersive the space travel is in the game, and this bug just added itself to the list of disappointments.
Some technical notes: When I looked at the asteroids using the console, I expected them to be STATIC Objects; they were actually something called CONST iirc. Just some fun facts.
From the vids it looks like a carbon copy of warframe. Might as well stick with the more mature product with a record of acceptable community interaction.
